Underrated comedy because it fully commits to the R-rating, especially in 2 scenes. 80(!) Minute Runtime. Very Good comedic Cast. No Romantic elements. Nice Cameo At The End

It's no classic, but I laughed a lot. Will and Amy work well together, but there could have been a bit more development in the cop & council characters.

Don't be hoping for this film to be one of the greatest they have ever pulled out because by view, you were only looking at its poster and/or trailer which otherwise looks better than the film itself.

There's probably a decent movie in there somewhere. It's completely forgettable. I forgot about it while I was watching it. A few funny moments but a waste of a lot talent.

This movie was not even the slightest bit funny. Complete waste of time and money. Don't bother going. I was shocked at how totally and completely awful this movie was.

A few funny scenes in an overall forgettable movie. I like most of the performers here, but for the most part their wasted. Will Ferrell and Amy Poehler both have moments that shine but not nearly enough. C

For such a boring cast, this lightweight comedy written on knee had no right to become success. What is most surprising is the fact I liked it (little bit). I do not say it's a good movie, but some moments were wildly funny despite the bad plot.

The only good thing about this film was Jason Mantzoukas - Amy Poehler was awful and pretty disgusting. Smiled / Smirked at one part. Terrible waste of time

I'll be short, three stars are given, because I laughed 3 times. Nothing more, the story is just boring and not entertaining. One of the worst comedy films of 2017 without doubts.

Will Ferrell can adopt the ridicule with easiness but sometimes it doesn't work, this film is a great example of it and to be honest, watching this huge failure I really see that a lot of people give Amy Poehler way too much credit as a comedian.

I thought it would be a lot funnier. Still a decent movie. It would be awesome to turn a house into a secret mini casino.

A lot of great comedians in this and yet woof. This is so slapdash there’s no way this wasn’t more than some contract obligation for most involved.

Andrew J. Cohen's "The House" is a surprisingly effective comedy thanks to an interesting premise, a short runtime, and humour that lands more often than not.

The fact that the main stars of this movie are well known comedies would give any viewer the notion that comedy will be part of it, unfortunately like all comedies no a days, its everything but funny.
