Jack Black and Kate Winslet have some nice chemistry, but they can't save this disaster of a movie. The Cameron Diaz-Jude Law scenes are tedious and take-up two-thirds of the movie, there is a preachy subplot about "old Hollywood Jack Black and Kate Winslet have some nice chemistry, but they can't save this disaster of a movie. If you have ever wanted to watch a movie where nothing at all happens, then the Holiday is for you. Lifeless and dull as they come, it's proof you can't just throw a bunch of A-list actors at a script and make it work. Predictable, unbelievable drivel, with more mugging than a "Three's Company" intro. Even the college-age girls sitting near me exclaimed "ridiculous". Sorry, I wanted to like it, really I did.

Save yourself the over 2 hours you would spend on this movie. Unbelievable run time by the way. 2 hours of the nothing. The same story could be told in 30 minutes.… Expand
