Was this movie ever a gut punch. Too bad it's a movie not many people will get to see. Hopefully it finds it's way on streaming by good word of mouth. Sigourney Weaver plays a realtor, mother, drunk who is trying to navigate her life knowing that those who love her are concerned about her drinking. She is a hot mess, but you are really rooting for her. Her business has taken a huge hit as a former friend, now competitor takes over more and more of her clients. Her two grown children are a bit of a mess too, and need their mother to be there for them. Kevin Kline is the one bright spot in her life, as they rekindle their high school romance. Weaver’s character talks directly to the camera all throughout the film, which for me, worked really well. At times, it felt like sitting and talking to a friend who is going through a tough time. This is a dramedy with both high drama and fun comedic moments. There are other characters’s stories going on as well that are not center stage, but no less absorbing.… Expand

Back in the 50's, this was what you did when you reached 21, drinking and smoking cigarettes was the accepted norm.… Expand

Kevin Kline and all the cast were great. I hate to say it has a great message because that usually means it’s a bad movie but it does have a great message.… Expand
