This film wants desperately to be "The Third Man" but it just isn't. It never manages to create the right mood. It feels staged and non-authentic throughout. I thought the entire cast was very good, especially Cate Blanchett. The problem was there were too many loose ends. I recommend this movie to anyone who appreciates excellent acting but don't expect too much from it.

Here he finds Lena Brandt, the woman he loved and who is now totally dependent on Tully, the man he has been assigned as a driver. Soon Tully, ready to trade anything, is found killed and Geismer not only sees his passion for Lena reborn but also finds himself at the center of a game of secrets. Once again an experimental film by Soderbergh. Experiment, in my opinion, once again failed.… Expand
