Although Garcia and the crew had plenty of access to proponents of GM crops and honest brokers in the scientific community, they chose to ignore them and their expertise and present a one sided and distorted diatribe about not just GM but Although Garcia and the crew had plenty of access to proponents of GM crops and honest brokers in the scientific community, they chose to ignore them and their expertise and present a one sided and distorted diatribe about not just GM but modern agriculture -- including the Green Revolution that kept hundreds of millions from dying of starvation in India/Pakistan. Meanwhile, hundreds of millions in Africa are using Garcia's advice to go organic (they have no resources to buy inputs) and they are going hungry and starving. Many of the "facts" be it about allergic reactions to Starlink Bt corn (the woman who claimed the reaction in the film was later proven to be making false claims) or about the effects of GMO corn on Oaxacan farmers are simply lies. On the other hand, if you want to know about large corporate activity in the seed and GMO sphere from a balanced and informed perspective, pick up the books Lords of the Harvest (Charles) and Food Inc (Pringle). This movie may rally the anti-GM troops, but its full of half truths and inuendos, and downright falsehoods and so should not be considered authoritative in any sense of the term. Expand
