I think its a well done drama. Nothing too glamorous nothing too traumatic.

My wife and I almost didn't watch it because of some of the reviews. I don't get it. We both really enjoyed it. Maybe it had something some current audiences are not used to - acting instead of lots of things blowing up and computer generatedMy wife and I almost didn't watch it because of some of the reviews. The characters were real.

It was fascinating to watch Travolta trudge through life rather than strut - a man weighed down with his problems. But under the oppression you can still detect the strut.

I liked the way violence was shown at at distance or not overly drawn out. The director was not trying suck you into Jerry Springer sensationalism but just show it as a part of his character's life - not too important or unimportant. The story and characters were more important.… Expand
