The humour was average, the rest of the movie was boring. It's nothing like the book until the part where it starts raining. Only watch if you loved the book so much that you will enjoy this movie.

I'm not here to sing the praises of The Cat In The Hat. I'm not even going to defend it, but call me crazy, I laughed during this movie. I really laughed, at more than a few points in the film.

I liked some of the jokes but the story of the film was nothing like the book, I don't think that good actors like Mike Myers and Alec Baldwin should be doing stuff like this.

WHAT a bad representation to the best Dr. Seuss book of 1957, I can't believe I had this movie on VHS, I was confused as a kid watching this in 2006, what a disaster to the fans!

Mike Myers was forced to make this film and it shows rough dialogue and very rushed.

The Cat in the Hat is an okay movie. Its got that unique Dr. Seuss aesthetic to it which is interesting, but in the end is filled with some silly writing and acting choices. Overall its just meh.

I give full respect for the crew's efforts to make this perfectly entertaining for Dr Suess fans. However, that isn't enough to save the disappointing end result with scattershot humor and some overlong scenes. Should be entertaining for kids tho.
