When Captain Streck is having his medical episode in the hospital, the medical team is putting an Ambu bag over his nose and mouth while he is thrashing around screaming. A bag valve mask (BVM) like this is a hand-held device commonly used to provide positive pressure ventilation to patients who are not breathing or not breathing adequately. The fetal twins emitted supersonic pulses which tuned with their father's senses. This explains why the alien always managed to track down Jillian wherever she went.… Expand

It's not for you if you expect a lot of action, because it's more in the horror-suspense, "happens in your head" tradition.

Although the ending was a bit weak, this one will haunt me for many years.… Expand

I always bring this film this film up when talking to my wife about the worst film I have ever watched. No redeeming features at all. One of the few movies I have wanted to walk out on.

Actually, it could have been a classic thriller. It's not so bad if you think about it and watch it for a second time. It's not one of Depp's and Theron's best, but COME ON!! It's not bad.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Factual errors Jill plugs in the radio while it is sitting in a sink full of water, electrocuting her husband. The electrocution lasts quite a few seconds and involves an overhead light bulb string sequentially exploding and showering the room with sparks. When an item like this shorts out in this manner, it will trip the circuit breaker almost immediately. Besides, there would be no reason for the light bulbs to explode as there is no additional current going through them now than there would be prior to the short, and they are not involved in the short of the radio as it is. At most, they would simply go out when the circuit breaker tripped if they were on the same circuit.… Expand

After checking the rating for this movie, I prepared myself for a boring and dull movie, but instead found quite the opposite. The best side of the movie was actors (Jonny Depp and Charlize Theron) who really made theCertainly underrated

After checking the rating for this movie, I prepared myself for a boring and dull movie, but instead found quite the opposite. The best side of the movie was actors (Jonny Depp and Charlize Theron) who really made the movie alive. The story wasn't bad either, with slowly building up pressure and having nice little twitches and ending as well. If you like psychological movie with some Sci-Fi in it, then you wont be disappointed. Only thing I found little bit annoying about this movie was, that at some points the storyline was scrolled forward too roughly. My overall rating is 8 out of 10 and recommend it to all who like to see Jonny Depp in action in a fine movie.… Expand
