"The Artist" tells such a wonderful, heartwarming and elaborate story that I was just shamelessly fascinated and thrilled while I saw it. Jean Dujardin's acting is beyond description. A great homage to the silent movie era. It oozes charm and wit and the characters are great - I've never seen so much character in a dog. As soon as the film finished, I felt like shouting at mine for being so boring. The music is superb, theA great homage to the silent movie era. With a lot of filthy language dragging down some of today's motion pictures, we look to the silents now more than ever as a breath of fresh air. This film is an excellent throwback to the golden times.

Splendid, a movie that deserve his awards.
Highly recommended to movies fans in general.
If you can watch it on cinemas (like a cineclub) because a black-and-white silent film in that setting is unusual for todays standard and contribuite toSplendid, a movie that deserve his awards.

Had no clue that is actually just a silent movie, knew it was about that era and the transition to sound but was shocked that it was made that way in 2011. I liked it well enough, Jean Dujardin gave an excellent leading performance.
