While solidly made all around, its greatest strength by far is the performance of its actors. Every scene is perfectly tuned with so many things going unsaid just in the eyes of each character. Definitely worth a watch and a thought for the woefully insufficient care our troops can receive when they make it back. Expand

Surprisingly moving, well acted and well paced. There was no attempt to manipulate the viewer or push your emotional buttons. It has an authentic feel to it. Teller is really strong.

I have trouble getting past the fact that Amy Schumer is in this movie. How can I watch a movie with such an extremist appearing? This is a huge problem with most movies.

While trying to underscore the mistreatment of veterans in America, Thank you for Your Service falls flat on its overall tone. Through emotionally stale dialogue, the film fails to make audience feel sympathetic to its characters.

The film is a true story following the return of 3 men from war & shares their struggles acclimating to civilian life after their service. Sadly they suffer from multiple traumatic issues - PTSD, memory loss, depression, stress & financial troubles resulting in personal problems, and help is not at all quick in coming. Wading through the VA process is terrible & the bureaucracy of the process is appalling!
Not really an entertaining film but a story that needs to be shared. The actors were all good, connected and many times facial expressions talked where words were not necessary. Treatment of returning vets, and their suffering, is really what the story is about. I felt sick watching what we've heard so much about in our own news regarding treatment of our vets these days, and just want to scream! Those in power; politicians, health providers, service administrators, etc. need to do a better job taking care of the men & women who have sacrificed so much fighting for the USA! Many suffer the consequences of their service both physically & mentally daily, it is just wrong, this country HAS to do a better job - shame on those who treat our vets so poorly!

The acting performances are strong, and the script is compelling. The viewer leaves the theater hoping that promised reforms in the corrupt and inefficient Veterans Administration are finally implemented after decades of broken promises from our government. Expand

And that is what it should have been, based on the books and the real story behind the plot. The actors did a marvelous job delivering the emotions and tension to the screen, and the cinematographic shots are intensifying the experience as well. Shortly to the point this is a very powerful movie with a perfectly executed elements and all aspects overall it's a very good movie with a very good story and message, but lacking some conclusion to their stories. Se nos muestran de forma realista y depresiva los problemas que pueden afrontar los soldados después de la guerra. ¡TOTALMENTE RECOMENDADA!
