Don't listen to the bad reviews, this movie actually requires you to pay attention and use your brain which most people can't utilize. The amount of detail is astonishing. Bold, brilliant, amazing, complex.

Probably the most unique and mindblowing action movie ever made. Tenet ranks among the very best of Nolan's work. I had low expectations after Dunkirk, a movie that had very little going on, without theBold, brilliant, amazing, complex.

Tenet blew me away. I wonder if the 7.2 user score and 69 critic score is just because some people hate complexity. I loved it. And I loved that Tenet requires multiple viewings to figure out all of what's going on.

I am very impressed by Tenet and consider it to be one of the most unique and intelligent Hollywood movies I've seen.… Expand

Outstanding....You do need to come prepared to pay attention. Don't drink prior for this one. It will start to make sense 1/2 through. At the end, its typical Nolan. But its outstanding. And the people that didn't "get it" are dumb

Tenet is Christopher Nolan's Magnum Opus. On the technical side, few films in history have anything like the action of this film. Every Scene is Magic, and you will think, "How making this is even possible?". And that "No Green Screen" ruleTenet is Christopher Nolan's Magnum Opus. On the technical side, few films in history have anything like the action of this film. Every Scene is Magic, and you will think, "How making this is even possible?". And that "No Green Screen" rule is paying off. Because of that, you can believe the most unbelievable things are happening on the screen. Tenet never looks like animation or something full of CGI effects. And when you watch it, You will probably accept that fact is so important.
Suppose someone mutes this film and watches it. It's perfection. If someone shot the picture off and only listen to the sound of this film, It's Perfection. So When they get combined, Tenet has become an experience like no other.
Ludwig Göransson's Awesome Score has been synced with every scene and is adding to all of them. I love Hans Zimmer, but right now, I don't think even that great man was capable of doing this. The reason is this music feels different from anything I've ever heard in any Christopher Nolan Film.
I've watched Tenet twice (So far); the First time, I loved it, and the second time, I loved it. The script does a great job of presenting everything to you in the best possible way. And at the same time, Tenet has fewer exhibition scenes than Interstellar or Inception. So every time you watch it, you will be focused on more things. But It's understandable and self-explaining. The reason that a lot of people will more like The Story for the second time is the fact that THE FILM IS UNBELIEVABLY BEAUTIFUL. It has some shots, which made me speechless and gave me pure joy. As much as I couldn't focus my mind on the story and wanted to be just thinking about the Perfect Picture, I'm watching.
This film will stand the test of time. I don't want to spoil anything, So I can't talk about how much I love some of the characters and how the actors have got chosen with no miss fire. But even if you read the full screenplay of Tenet, Watching it is ten times better than just knowing the whole story. Tenet is THE Cinema, at it's very very best.… Expand

Alright cinema fans, it’s time for a Christopher Nolan film so you all know what that means. Get yourselves into a cinema, the bigger the better and prepare for another mind bending cinematic experience that I can barely explain but I’ll giveAlright cinema fans, it’s time for a Christopher Nolan film so you all know what that means. Get yourselves into a cinema, the bigger the better and prepare for another mind bending cinematic experience that I can barely explain but I’ll give it my best. I honestly wasn’t sure we’d get a chance to see Tenet this month or even this year. But here it is, the movie to get us all back in the cinemas again. Well it’s sure to get the Nolan fans back anyway because you can have all the online streaming platforms you want with all these seemingly endless choices but there are certain movies you need to see on a massive screen with surround sound and Tenet is that movie.

I normally give a brief overview of the plot but for spoiler reasons I obviously can’t go into any real detail. A Protagonist armed with only one word, “Tenet” fights for the survival of the entire world. If you really want a taste of what you’re in for then check out the trailer, you’ll still be confused but what can I tell you, it’s a confusing film. It’s got espionage, time travel, John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, Kenneth Branagh, Elizabeth Debicki and a little bit of Michael Caine (it wouldn’t be a Nolan film without Michael Caine now would it). What more can I say? Nolan’s originality never ceases to amaze and Tenet has raised the bar for the sci-fi genre. The entire cast are outstanding, particularly John David Washington.

The whole movie is one giant puzzle that demands your full attention. Yes, that does mean no bathroom breaks, you’re not going to want to miss a second of this believe me. I’ve only just seen it and I’m dying to see it again and because of the complex narrative, Tenet is the type of film that would benefit from a second viewing. You get everything you’d expect from a Christopher Nolan film minus the Hans Zimmer score. Yet the score by Ludwig Göransson fits Tenet perfectly although I did find it overpowered some of the dialogue at times. Still, the exhilarating soundtrack will keep you on the edge of your seat. The stunts and practical effects are truly impressive. We all know Nolan favours real effects over CGI where possible and the results clearly pay off. Tenet is original, complex and exceptional. Not afraid to push the boundaries and raise the standard for what comes next.

The cinemas are open safely and ready so when you feel ready too be sure not to miss Tenet, better yet do yourself a favour and see it in 35mm or 70mm. Highly recommended.… Expand

Rather than passive wonder, you're somehow caught up in the action; all the fear triggers are pulled, even though your "higher" brain is completely lost. Which somehow makes it even scarier.

It is the most wondrously engaging (or engagingly wondrous) film I've seen (I'm 55). Nolan stands alone, and this is his most intense. Okay, tamp your expectations down, so that they can be properly exceeded. This is a film that needs to be seen on a large, large screen with loud sound. See this in a theater, see it often.… Expand

It is definitely Nolan's least accessible work, but that does not make the movie less valuable. I understood maybe 20 percent of it after my first watch, but even then I really liked what he did with 007-genre. Soundtrack and atmosphere are amazing.

Its a top tier Chris Nolan movie the vision and execution were bigger. the music by Ludwig was literally spine chilling it was intense and awesome specially the reverse tracks were mind-blowing. the plot was confusing and complex as hell as it was said in movie don't try to understand it feel it. I did same and literally people were scratching heads while I Enjoyed the movie it was a magic. Literally for me its the best Imax Experience ever. from the moment the movie starts from then to end I don't even want to blink for a sec it was that awesome. the pacing was like butter it was smooth and brilliant, the starting intro with little comedy was surprising and the overall 1st half was good but when 2nd half was started literally The words are undiscovered to speak about this movie it was literally a Mind-blowing experience the way they connected plots and links with addition to awesome detailing it was fascinating. the action from start to end was god tier it was brilliant and the overall complex plot watching without paying attention to details make it simple understanding it was like once u start paying attention it was that complex and detail the brain feels the flexes but watching just like that feels badass and brilliantly fascinating it will be like didn't understand a thing but still its a masterpiece. the acting was Legendary John-David-Washington was badass, Elizabeth was stunning, Kenneth was Brilliant, Dimple-Kapadiya was surprisingly amazing and Rob-Pattinson was Heart and soul he was literally amazing specially at end the whole mystery was literally ground-breaking and at same time it was emotionally amazing. Overall the editing and production design was literally nail-bitingly awesome the inverted fight/chase and "stalsk 12" fight scenes was like how the hell they edited that thing it was literally the G.O.A.T scenes in action history. the cinematography was stunning, music,direction,acting,action,Plot and Concepts of time inversion, entropy the grand father paradox and all it was like Nolan played with his fav toy "Time" it was mind-blowing, The whole movie is a Never seen before experience Literally many re-watches needed to understand it fully. Its a Epic God tier Pure Masterpiece movie!

2nd Experience : It was much clear concept and story made sense, The James bond ish 1st half and inception ish 2nd half with it the reverse concept it was just mind-blowingly cool. The protagonists name and his identity about he recuriting niel and his mission felt clear, the temporal pincer character Apperances doubts are cleared and the whole concept of time and all that too were cleared, The sator's idealogy makes him awesome antagonist and the ending it was just brilliant. Knowing how sadistic Nolan is I knew what I was getting myself into. it is only toward the end that everything makes sense even after the credit rolls.

It's about a secret agent who embarks on a dangerous, time-bending mission to prevent the start of World War III. This movie .......I don't know how to describe how I feel about it. I watched it yesterday and being honest I feel like I have a better understanding of the movie now than while I was watching it in time. And that's not a bad thing! Most of Christopher Nolan's films make me feel this way. This movie is very complex in a good way. There are so many layers and seeing them all unfold and intertwine during the movie was really interesting. I love the complexity of the characters too. Each new face you see on the screen, you pay close attention to. With, that being said, each character is well developed even the antagonist, Andrie Sator (Kenneth Branagh). My major pet peeve is when the quote on quote bad guy is just that ...a bad guy. Kenneth Branagh did a good job making me intrigued by the backstory of his character and trying to figure out his thinking. I also liked watching the scenes between his character and Kat (Elizabeth Debicki). You could always feel the tension between the two, and you believed whatever emotions they were acting out. It made you feel uncomfortable for Kat to be around Andrie, but that is the point. I think the arc that they gave Kat toward the end was great. I also loved the dynamic between Neil (Robert Patterson) and "The Protagonist" (John David Washington). They just clicked. You could see the blooming of friendship on-screen. I loved it. Now the action scenes in this movie are going to be talked about and analyzed for a long time. I think these scenes were what I enjoyed the most out of the whole movie. This movie changes the way you perceive and think about motion. The fights could be viewed in so many ways, and each would convey something totally different. And the cinematography. Not only was this a cool concept, but it was an aesthetically pleasing movie to look at. Every angle felt intentional, and it was so cool to see the way Christopher Nolan portrayed time going backwards on screen. Christopher Nolan's mind is beautiful. I think everyone should watch this movie sometime. If you like movies that have many layers and easter eggs, this is the movie for you. You won't stop thinking about this movie for days. Everything is connected; a never-ending loop.… Expand

Great movie - full of action, totally bonkers and great fun. It is very confusing toward the end, but then wraps up neatly in a satisfying way.

The cast are tremendous and storyline will keep you gripped to the end.

This is one of the most beautiful movies I have ever seen. Though it is probably one of Nolan’s most polarizing film. I was especially Flabbergasted by the visual editing (not CGI) and the cinematography. The music composed by LudwigThis is one of the most beautiful movies I have ever seen. The music composed by Ludwig Göransson was immensely appealing and unique. The way he implemented new musical ideas such as reverse music was spectacular. The plot, especially the ending (which most people cannot understand) was beautiful. So beautiful that it’s really difficult to understand. This is a very complex film indeed. But complex storylines can prove to be immensely beautiful. Once understood, one will remain aghast with beautiful story Nolan has built upon. Some emotions are very open, like Katherine’s love for her son and the hatred with Sator (one must remain aware of the fact that human emotions are not always good. Exploring the evil side of human emotions is also important and impactful). Meanwhile some emotions are very difficult to recognize, like the friendship of The Protagonist and Neil. The few impactful twists and the marvelous world that Nolan has created just like Inception is remarkable and can be cherished upon for long. There were some imperfections which prevent it to be Nolan’s best work. The story was a bit fast paced in the first half of the film. Also, the sound mixing proved it to be difficult for people to listen to the dialogues, which can easily be solved by subtitles (duh!). But all in all it was a phenomenal piece of filmography. It is a modern masterpiece which would take time for people to understand the depth of. One thing is for sure, watch it twice and then make an opinion.… Expand

I have seen this movie twice. The first time, I liked it, but didn't love it because as others have said, the dialogue is difficult to understand. I saw it a second time however, and after digesting some of what I saw the first time, theI have seen this movie twice. The first time, I liked it, but didn't love it because as others have said, the dialogue is difficult to understand. I saw it a second time however, and after digesting some of what I saw the first time, the movie made much more sense and I could appreciate much more of the experience. Now, I love the movie. It was an "experience" and I'm still thinking about it days later, listening to the soundtrack, doing web searches about some of the concepts and... well you get the idea. Every scene is crafted. Every sound effect is considered. It is a great movie going experience. Don't listen to the criticisms (which are perfectly valid by the way) but this is not a "zero" score as some users have rated it. It isn't a "5 or 6" either. This is movie magic and very good. If you don't "get it" and can't understand all of the dialogue (and that is understandable) just go with the action and sound, and then get it on Blu-ray later with subtitles and watch it a few more times (I know I will). This is one of those movies that will be entertaining on the 4th and 5th viewings. I just can't understand the hate by some - but to each their own. I really love the sci-fi trappings and over the top concepts. This is great stuff.… Expand

This is a marvelous movie. It is so fast paced that if you blink you will miss something.

If you like Nolan's movies, this one is definitely one of his best.

The plot was peculiar but great. If you really want to understand it, you are probably best to watch it again. After watching the movie, I felt confused but happy. I'mIf you like Nolan's movies, this one is definitely one of his best.

I hadn't seen this greatness in a movie since Inception.

This is truly a must watch, in my top 3 for Christopher Nolan's movies. The writing is on another level, character development, mystery and drama are top tier. Niel's (RobertI hadn't seen this greatness in a movie since Inception.

This is truly a must watch, in my top 3 for Christopher Nolan's movies. The writing is on another level, character development, mystery and drama are top tier. Niel's (Robert Pattinson) character development is the best, clearly the underdog in the movies and true hero.

This movie deserves an Oscar for best Picture, Best Support Actor and Best Score. That said I doubt the Academy has any eyes for good taste or creativity, as they've shown in the past with Nolan's movies.… Expand

Eu estou abismado com o nível de complexidade que esse filme tem, assisti pela terceira vez e tive várias teorias e explicações que o próprio filme da, e isso um filme não faz comigo a tempos, interestelar não fez isso comigo pois se trata de espaço tempo, algo mais fácil de se compreender, agora TENET, foi um filme que me frustrou pq eu não consegui captar tudo de início, eu me senti desafiado por isso, sinceramente, assisti a segunda, e foi aí que a magia começou, da segunda vez eu já estava encantado pelo filme, pq foi um filme feito pra você assistir mais de uma vez, pq ele justamente não trabalha com flashback, simplesmente mostra as coisas e bola pra frente, eu tenho pra mim, que esse filme pecou em ser um filme, se fosse uma série teria a liberdade de se expressar mais, pq é inacreditável o tanto de espaço que esse filme se deu, tanto pra depois que o Neil morre, quanto pra antes dele se conhecer com o protagonista. Estou incrivelmente contente e satisfeito, geralmente os filmes do nolan não tem continuação, então tudo isso que se passa em Tenet, morre em Tenet, mas é inegável que ele conseguiu construir um enredo que sustentaria uma série.… Expand

not possible to understand but one must forget dunkirk memento prestige before watching tenet because it's a spy action thriller, has some over the top action/stunts sequence which an action thriller always has and so a must watch film.
