This film, though, does so much more. With masterful performances, the writer/director goes a step further than telling a story about bullying or revenge or anything so trite. This is a thoughtful examination of cycles of abuse, power, privilege, and empathy--it takes the viewer through complex feelings that these kinds of issues might inspire, but it also asks us to reevaluate some of our knee-jerk reactions. It is a deeply nuanced take on the subject matter--but also a damn good flick with a lot of heart and some moments of well-placed humor. Totally worth your time, with some great acting, and a timely statement from a new writer/director!… Expand

I like the idea for this movie. The teacher is creepy enough, but the rest of the cast aren't very good.
