This is complete tripe. Avoid at all cost. Matthew Marsden (the teacher) sleepwalks through it, and the "Carrie" central character is neither quirky, sexy or menacing enough for me to care an iota. Sad sad sad!

Well, what shall I say? It's a really cliche movie and some scenes make me remember about Carrie, others remember I Know What U Did Last Summer and anothers. The cast isn't big deal, but in my opinion, they don't give much to desire. TheWell, what shall I say? It's a stupid movie, but a fun one. The acting was, overall, worthless (especially the main bad guy) and the movie was cliché and predictable. It's ending was one of the most stupid ending I've seen in a while and for this kind of movie, theIt's a stupid movie, but a fun one. While it seems like this movie has nothing going on for it, it still managed to be very entertaining and the dialogue is pure genius. Overall, it's not a particularly good horror movie, in fact it's a pretty bad one, but it sure is entertaining and fun to watch.… Expand

Directed by Jeremy Haft.
The story of this movie is to much of a stereotyped thing, but let's start with the characters, all of them are completely stereotyped and you will hardly care about any of them, at some point, even for that one that you care about even a little ends up doing some strange things in a dumb way, or maybe just the script didn't build the situation well enough for situations, neither for it to make sense or even feel anything. The caracters are all like, all mean and bad, or completely afraid, the movie stereotype everything, a ugly girl that is shy and excluded; a nerd guy that can't talk, is afraid of taking decisions and also a coward; a strong athlete that is apparentely the leader of a group and it is all mean and think he is the king of the world; a drunk father that drinks all the time; i hate that, i hate those unilateral characters that are suposed to be and do one thing, that is just horrible, stereotyping characters is possibly the worst thing you can do to them, and if all of the characters are like that, imagine how this movie struggles with it. The story overall is a cliche itself, that famous story that someone that is screwed and then comes back after something and get his revenge, being this story is not a problem, the thing is that it is in the most simple possible way, it doesn't have much different things, and it isn't very creative neither, wich is a problem, if the movie got creative and nice kills it could have been really better, the problem is that it doesn't use well the rated-r classification, it doesn't have anything to be rated-r at all. The movie tries to force us to watch much in the sexuality of the character in Tamara, i can't say that they didn't make the sexuality of the character work, she is sex as hell, but use this as a walking stick is horrible, the movie was supossed to be an horror, but as a horror this works so bad that i can't tell, it isn't anything scary in it or horror, they couldn't create an ambience for this to work, this movie is more of a romance then an horror. The movie have some long sequences where Tamara is messing with her ingredients and stuff that you don't know what she is doing and they tooked so long in that, that was boring.
The acting is complicated, Jenna Dewan did the better job here, considering that everything here is pretty much steriotyped, she did a good job, she could be firstly that scared girl at first, even if that didn't convinced that much, and after she became that hot and full of confident girl, that turn was good. Katie Stuart had a big part in this movie, she was good, i believed that she was that spit of goodness in that sea of bad people. Claudette Mink is probably the best actress in this movie, she had small time, but she had some nice sequences, her scared moments worked, the mixing of emotions like fear and rage, giving some adrenaline, i bought a little of that.
This movie does have a concept, it does have a everyday, but it couldn't create an atmosphere, the dialogues are robotical, the lines are simple and don't convince in what they say, the lack of expression in some moments are so pity, like someone that died comes back to life and everybody's reaction are a poker face, this tooked me off sometimes. I before said that this is a romance movie, and i mean it, the movie starts with it and ends with it, it is a completely romance, wich is not a problem, but some ideas here have a lack of creativity that is we can't take it, the ending is horrible, and some consequences there wasn't well solved after all.
This movie have a thing, that is actually very good, even that is isn't original or anything, is important. Wich is that you need to impose yourself in some moments, even that if the situation is going against you, sometime the right thing to do is going against that. It does have a nice meaning behind things there, it is nice and small, but it is there.
One thing that you looked foward in this movie, is the revenge moments, but most of them are strange like, it didn't really felt revenged in some moments, you couldn't feel anguish, except for one or two moment, but overall it was way to simple and corny in a not very cool way.
Afterall this movie is way to simple and nothing new at all, but it does have some ok moments that can entretain you, it does have a good meaning behin things there, but still to much sterityped and whatever.… Expand
