This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Half of this film is some of the best live-action Star Wars material, ever. The other half... is the exact opposite. This is a film that fails horribly in almost everything it set out to do, and unequivocally succeeds in almost everything else. The action and visual design are fantastic. The worldbuilding... immaculate. Obi-Wan... great dude. The mystery aspect, while slightly improvable, is very well done. Here's the problem: Anakin, the main character, is so profoundly poorly written in this film that it legitimately worsens his entire arc as a character. He's a bit of a weird jerk, for one thing, and also... there's almost no foreshadowing or character development. (Except for the bit on Tatooine, which is fantastic and one of the best scenes in the series.) It literally made Episode III have to work twice as hard to develop his character, since this movie was so hyperfocused on telling a love story that was just as poorly written. Lucas could have easily woven in quality character development in there, but nooo... The closest we get to this is when Anakin and Padme are just gallivanting around, and then they randomly decide to sit down and Anakin declares he wants to start a dictatorship. And the dialogue in these scenes is just atrocious. I was fine with the dialogue style, until this... Hayden Christensen and Natalie Portman get a bad rap here, though. Their acting isn't Oscar-winning or anything, but it's really the writing and dialogue that make these scenes so terrible. Acting is solid throughout the rest of the film, as well. More emphasis could also have been put on Count Dooku's character, as he's a legitimately compelling villain. The good overall outweighs the bad for me, though, and I still think it's a decent movie.

I would like to say something, from this movie I"The Jedi are taking over"...Oh, wait not yet, Attack of the Clones is a better film than Episode I, focusing on the beginning of the war against the separatist and the Sith, who are extinct.

I would like to say something, from this movie I noticed that the Jedi are incredibly lazy. Yoda can Sense that the future, Jedi and judgement of everything are clouded by the Dark side yet he does nothing.

Anyway.

Now is this a great Starwars Film? Hell yes.

It expands on the existing characters, and plots not to mention the FORCE of the music in this film. John Williams nailed all of the Themes. When you get to the Arena, it's magnificent.

Now about the Women and Children, ok like I mentioned in the Review for Episode I, the memes make the Prequels so enjoyable.

Ok but really, this film is really good, the way George was able to capture his writing and script and then make it memorable is insane. I'll tell you I can remember lines from this movie as clearly as day. To me that's what makes things really good, being able to create scenes that the audience can recognise and remember easily. George was on to something, maybe he didn't realise it but he definitely knew what he was doing.

So 8/10, it's better, it's bigger, and I mean it's bigger.
Compared to today's standards of Star Wars films this is leagues ahead of anything we've recently seen. Force Awakens, forget about it.
The Last Jedi, I laugh at it.
The Rise of Palpatine *cough, Skywalker, No, just no.

This is my second movie into Star Wars, its much better than Episode 1 in terms of Story, Action and Characters, however the romance is awful as is the dialogue. The finale has helped the movie from falling short.

Anyway i am now more interested in the Star Wars story than when i started watching it from Episode 1 which was very disappointing, this one was more enjoyable for me.

Better movie than the first one, especially because C3PO is funnier than Jar Jar Bings. In addition there is no more little "I destroy whole battle stations alone" Anakin. As the introductory film to the Clone Wars, this film was a step up from Episode 1. Love the the ending battle and mystery aspect of this film. Visuals are great and some great character additions. Dialogue and acting at some points is cheesy but overall entertaining.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This probably has the lowest lows of a star wars movie, but the highs are as high as any movie. The dialog is wooden at times but that helps the believability for me because They are supposed to be aliens and think differently than us. Also Anakin should be awkward because he is a slave boy with no positive role models in dating or communication. My favorite part is Shmi's death and the surrounding scenes. Love Genosis, first time I saw a truly massive war on a planet other than earth. Also Boba holding Jango's helmet after he dies is incredible. The rhymes of this episode are numerable, but I wont go that in depth.… Expand

Yep, this movie got awkward dialogues. In the same time, it perfectly builds transition of characters to their gruesome final in the next episode and for the first time in cinema history shows full scale galactic warfare in all its glory.

Star Wars: Episode II is, in my opinion, one of the worst parts of the series. The story here is more or less only and Anakin's romance with Padmé, which is unnecessarily lengthy and I would not make a film about it at all. This was a surprisingly good movie. Just compare it to The Phantom Menace and its better in almost every way. There was a little bit too much of a focus on romance but the rest of the film was interesting, particularly Obi Wan's journey. 7.5/10.

Liam Neeson is missed, with the likes of Ewan McGregor, Natalie Portman, Hayden Christensen and Christopher Lee failing to set the world alight. McGregor does give the best performance of that quartet; Christensen possibly the weakest, though his character's story is probably the most interesting - or its overall arc, at least.

Those onscreen aren't helped by the dialogue, which is very basic and run-of-the-mill. I found the score a little forgettable, even if it's still fun to hear the key pieces of it. The plot is watchable, but I did expect greater storytelling from these two follow-up releases to the original trilogy. The CGI is, marginally, an improvement on this film's predecessor.… Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Episode II starts off a bit slow. There's only one major action scene in the first hour, Anakin and Obi Wan chasing the assassin. I wasn't particularly excited about that scene. It was ok. I'm sure 20 years ago it would have seemed much more impressive. But now it's 2021 and I've seen a lot of impressive chase scenes. It still holds up, though. It's not the fault of the movie. So after around an hour, we get a pretty cool action scene where Obi Wan and the bounty hunter are fighting. That was nice.

I had a big problem with the scene when Anakin's mother dies and the scenes that follow up. So, Anakin finds his mother, she was severely tortured and wounded, she tries to tell him she loves him, but she's too weak and on the verge of death. Anakin tells her to stay with him. So far it's very emotional and effective. I'm really sad. Anakin is sad. She eventually dies, then the music gets louder, we see Anakin's face, he's very, very angry. I am also angry. We hear the lightsaber turn on, then he strikes down two sand people. Another sand person charges toward him and he strikes him down, too, it's very intense, and then... the tension dies down a bit. Then Yoda tells us about the anger and suffering Anakin is feeling. Um, ok. And then we see the massacre, right? Nope. We get a random scene from another plotpoint. WHAT THE **** That completely ruined all the build-up. It destroyed all the tension and the emotion. I can't believe they did that. Why did they do that? Then we get the scene with him coming back at the house carrying his mother's corpse. We see and feel his anger. Then there is the scene where he's talking with Padme. He cries because he believes it's his fault. He thinks that if he were stronger, he could have saved her. Again, it's effective and emotional. But I really wish we saw the massacre. And no, I'm not some psycho who wants to see sand children get murdered. But show us SOMETHING. At least show us how he's destroying their sand igloos with the Force push ability or something. Show us how Anakin reacts and how he unleashes his powers on the sand people. Shows us more than two ****ing seconds. This paragraph was more of a rant than a review.

So we get about two action scenes in one hour and a half. That's pretty bad. Then we finally get an action scene at the droid factory. Then we get the epic action scene at the end with a lot of fighting. That was satisfying. Anakin dual-wielding lightsabers to fight count Dooku was very badass. And Anakin getting his arm cut was shocking. The internet had spoiled that scene for me (among many other), but I totally forgot about it. Episode II has a bit of a pacing issue. There's barely any action in the first half. And I really hated that they messed up the Anakin rampage scene. But other than that, I did feel emotion. As I said, the scenes were effective. I loved the huge action sequence at end. All in all, I think compared to Episode I, Episode II has higher and lower points, while Episode I is more consistent and moderate. Episode I was a more enjoyable experience for me.… Expand

Film very similar to the first film for defects and plot. It is not a masterpiece but maintains the standards of "the phantom menace". Anakin Skywlaker's story is very interesting, Padme's character just as interesting. The soundtrack isFilm very similar to the first film for defects and plot. I don't like sand. It's coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere. Not like this movie. In thins movie, everything is soft and smooth.

If you know how to have fun watching a movie, it doesn't get much better then this.

Episode 2 is a huge improvement. While nothing in Episode 1 has any real impact on the trilogy we got this time a meaningful story with huge game changers for the Star Wars galaxy. I like how the story unfolds and the plots start to work. IEpisode 2 is a huge improvement. While nothing in Episode 1 has any real impact on the trilogy we got this time a meaningful story with huge game changers for the Star Wars galaxy. I like how the story unfolds and the plots start to work. I would say the lines are draw and the long looming conflicts begins to escalate. Like in any good middle movie it answers questions while you get new ones. Then there are the characters. I like the chemistry and interactions between Obi Wan (Ewan Mc Gregor), Anakin (Hayden Christensen) and Padme (Natalie Portman). C3PO and R2D2 are as good as always (There is the fan theory that these two are the main characters in Star Wars;-). The best performance has Ian Mc Diarmid as Palpatine. He is so enjoyable to watch. I purpose the idea of a TV series with him as main characters. A House of Cards like show with many plots, gains and shady businesses. But back to the movie. Christopher Lee is as good as always. He is also a legendary actor and delivers his role as gentleman villain (I think he has some pure motives). Yoda and Samuel Jackson are the fitting leaders of the Jedi Order. Overall I would say the Jedi while not truly evil have their part in the injustice and decline of the galaxy. They are paralysed by their dogmas and are unable to evolve. I would even say if the bad guys waited long enough the Jedi would destroy themselves or become irrelevant (There are a lot of good theories out there). The acting is good for me for the most part with the downside of the dialogues. They are often wooden and unfitting. This is a problem for the whole prequel trilogy. The battles are again top notch. This is one of a few parts where the prequels are better (Rewatch the old trilogy again if you don't believe me). The final battle is a highlight and I have yet to find someone who did complain about it. Of cause I must praise John Williams for the score. He is a legend. Only Hans Zimmer and Ennio Morricone can compete with him. Overall this felt like a return to Star Wars and was enjoyable. It made me want more and kept the interest for the final movie.… Expand

I know there's a lot of hate for this movie and I don't really know why. It does have a lot of drama that some might find boring but other than that I can't see any real reason for the hate. If you think any of the Disney Star Wars movies are better than this I don't consider you a real Star Wars fan. Anakin is strong with the force but he is emotional and still learning. He loses to Count Dooku who is much older and wiser when it comes to the force. And has much more poise and better skills with a lightsaber. Anakin doesn't know everything like Rey.. And at this point had been training for years. In episode three Anakin is a little older and wiser and his skills with a lightsaber are better and he kills Dooku. Again this is character progression something that the prequels have.. And it's something Disney Star Wars don't have... This movie is also important because it shows Anakin killing the sand people after they killed his mother. This is the first real time you see the person he eventually becomes, Darth Vader. It also shows his relationship with Padme grow with them getting married. So this movie sets up Revenge of the Sith really well. If this movie didn't exist Revenge of the Sith would end up with too much stuff being crammed into it like "The Rise of Skywalker". If you don't like this movie you are not a real Star Wars fan. If you like Disney Star Wars you are not a real Star Wars fan.… Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. If I was head of LucasFilm, I'd officially call this film the '3rd best Star Wars movie ever'. Dooku makes a superb thought provoking anti-hero who shows he's more than capable of holding his own against youngsters which I love so much as it shows that the elderly can identify themselves to be strong and powerful if they want. The beauty of Coruscant at night was mesmerising, every time I watch the bar scene I always get drunk and happy, it's such a great scene which encourages people to have so much fun so it's a great thing. The beauty of the Outlander Club in the film makes me so sexually aroused. There's loads of intelligent aliens in this film which promotes that diversity is a true strength, with many sexy aliens there as well. It could've been better though if Anakin found his Mother and brutally sexually abused her fat butt, his Mother should've liked the sex eventually before killing her because she selfishly gave him up to strangers and didn't bother visiting him for 10 years. The sex scene between Anakin and his Mother would've also helped promote that it's okay to have sex with your Mum as everyone's the same anyway, if everyone wasn't the same diversity wouldn't be a strength. And killing her like that would show that Anakin is normal and doesn't care about people who are closely genetically related to him more than people who aren't closely genetically related to him. Due to George Lucas, Anakin's a racist who treated his evil Mother far more nicely than what her fat butt deserved.… Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This movie is wonderful. I may just be a nerdy fanboy who loves star wars, but I know my stuff. As a stand-alone film it would've been a disaster, so I can understand why people hated it right when it came out. But now with the third installment in the prequel trilogy being released, we really get to see Anakin grow, and I love seeing how loyal Obi-Wan stays to the Jedi order. Its nice to see how Obi-Wan questioned his master at the time Qui Gonn on his decisions, and then when Obi-Wan is Anakin's Master Andkin questions Obi-Wan. It's nice to see how they can relate because once they were both very similar in their wiseness. Now moving on to actual story plots in this film, I think that Count Dooku is a very compelling character and had some great power. The problem is the way they portrayed him in this film that I don't love because he just comes off as boring. I believe the Star Wars animated series The Clones Wars was a much better portrayal of Count Dooku. Even still no matter how much you hate this film you must admit that the epic Clone, Jedi, Droid battle is incredible. It may be filled with CGI but It still feels like you're right there. And let us not forget this film's predecessor The Phantom Menace! This film was... well a train wreck. They focused more on politics and less on what stars wars is all about, which is an insanely entertaining story and amazing special effects. I will say that the characters were written well. There are many reasons to enjoy this entertaining film and that's why I'm glad its a part of the fantastic series that is Star Wars.… Expand

Attack of the Clones is better than The Phantom Menace mostly because of the absence of Jar Jar Binks. There are too many trolls out there that are so upset because it doesn’t compare to the originals. Do not let that deter your from watching it. Of course the movies do not compare to the originals they are prequels!

The good:
1. The action scenes on Geonosis
2. The fight between Obi-Wan and Jango Fett both on Kamino and in space
3. The chase for stopping Zam from escaping
4. The subtleties of Chancellor receiving emergency powers is quite similar to how Hitler obtained dictatorial powers
5. The first intense meeting between Obi-Wan and Jango Fett
6. Count Dooku Vs Obi-Wan, Anakin, and Yoda

7. The scene Anakin slaughters the Tusken Raiders signals his vulnerability to the dark side

The bad:
1. The romance drags on at times 2. The lines between Anakin and Padmé are cheesy but a lot of lines from the movies are cheesy
3. The reliance on CGI is quite noticeable

Again the movie isn’t perfect but none of them are as they all have flaws.… Expand

I’m always finding something I had missed before on multiple viewings. Attack of the Clones serves as the backbone of the 6 Lucas films revealing Anakins first taste of the dark side, the near sightedness of the Jedi Order and the origin of the Clone Wars as mentioned in A New Hope. I find the Anakin and Padme interactions intriguing as he seeks after her in a 1920s type courtly approach finding comfort and intoxication in her presence. Padme who is remarkably stunning in this film seems to welcome the attention but turns away when she sees first hand how a tender moment alone can be a source of pain for Anakin as he is terrified of loss. He is almost prophesying his life as Darth Vader when he tells Padme, “ The thought of not being with you, I can’t breath.” The final climatic battle is a spectacular sequence that seems to favor our protagonist but Yoda expressed great dismay for the last line of the film as he states, “The shroud of the dark side has fallen, begun the Clone War has.”… Expand

George Lucas has learned an important lesson from the previous film: special effects and action can make a bearable movie, but cannot make a quality movie. And it's not hard to see that the Director made an effort to ensure a more careful script this time. The script looks cleaner of expendable elements and worthless characters, and the characters exhibit much more psychological depth, particularly Anakin and Amidala. However, Lucas was unable to print passion to the loving bond that the couple starred. If there is love there, the public never see it or feel it. It seems friendship or affection, but never love so, they managed to become one of the most frigid romantic couples that cinema ever portrayed. Jar Jar continues to be a funny character but there are certain scenes when he's just stupid. The performance of the actors wasn't brilliant or inspired, with the exception of Samuel L. Jackson and Christopher Lee, who deserve congratulations, and Natalie Portman, who was not bad but could have done better. The soundtrack also does not bring anything new and does it's role with confidence. The special visual and sound effects were at the highest level, providing breathtaking action scenes and moments of great dramatic tension. Attack of the Clones, like its predecessor, is yet another highly controversial and underrated installment in the Star Wars saga.

The movie is, for the most part, split between two stories. The first follows Anakin Skywalker and Padmé Amidala which is largely a romance story. The second is a detective-esque story in which Obi-Wan Kenobi discovers two separate armies that are being built to begin the Clone Wars. Ewan McGregor's superb acting definitely makes Obi-Wan's side of the film more entertaining and mysterious, but Anakin and Padmé's story is by no means awful.

I'd be one of the first to say that the Anakin and Padmé love story has some cringe-worthy dialogue but it makes sense within the context of the universe and the characters. Anakin, a Jedi, has been taught to not love anyone and to have no emotional attachments. Obviously, he would be a little awkward when it comes to these things. Their story takes a more interesting turn when Anakin returns to his home planet in search of his mother.

The entire third act of the film is simply phenomenal. A fight with monsters in an arena, followed by the first battle of the Clone Wars, and then a lightsaber battle between Count Dooku (Christopher Lee) and Yoda really help elevate the last 45 minutes or so of the movie to among the best in Star Wars history. The first act also had some solid action and intrigue with an assassination plot against Padmé. The second act is definitely the weakest, mainly because it drags on a little.

The discovery and intrigue elements of Attack of the Clones definitely make it a great addition to the Star Wars saga. It's a little too long for my taste but other than that, I have no huge complaints.

I liked it, unlike most people. The first half was a 6, the second half was a 8, so I made the final score a 7. The acting needed improvement, but wasn't terrible. The story was great and put everything together from 4-6. It is worth a watch.

I have been told that this is a guilty pleasure of mine , but I dont agree.
I dont think its terrible. I dont think its bad. I think its good. oh its not as good as IV , V and VI but its not a bad story , nor a bad movie.

The plot has a focus on a romance and a conspiracy that goes down a deep (but thats mostly talked about in TCW08)

The conspiracy : I love it ! The romance : I dont like it very much , its not that I think its badly written its that it feels like watching two real life teens dating for the first time. its very cringy. lets just say there is a reason why movies never show romance how it is in real life.

However the only things that make me rate this a 7 instead of a 8 or 9 is :
-The lightsaber fight , I cant stand yoda fighting , I cant stand the fight in the dark.
-C3pO ''funny'' bit , his head gets removed and is still functional (so far , silly but okay) and then gets fited to a B-1 battle droid and thus the two programmings seem to conflict with one and another. its a very silly moment that mirrors the bit in ESB with C3pO being in bits but in that movie it was played for drama and laughs.
-the effects and art are not my cup of tea in this episode (outside of kamino that I do love) everything looks fake , but thats not the end of world to me. But I have to say , something seems to be messed up with the lighting in this episode.… Expand

George Lucas delivers a visual treat. While definitely not a piece of perfect filmmaking, the seemingly always lovable Star Wars universe kept me enthralled once. With plenty of imagination, spectacle, and visual delights it's a very entertaining follow up that isn't as bad as I originally thought.

A big issue many had with The Phantom Menace was the amount of on the political side of the universe. While an ultimately necessary evil, one that I personally had no problems with, those elements are still present here. They have been toned down quite a bit though. Something many will find a blessing.

Politics are still the backbone of the story, but Lucas is using them to support the more immediate plot. With romance, action, intrigue, and mystery the continued adventures and growth of Anakin Skywalker are likely to be more appealing to a wider audience then Episode I.

George Luas shows once again that he knows how to create some spectacular and exciting action. However when it comes to getting believable performances from all of the cast, he stumbles. Actors like Ewan McGregor, Sir Christopher Lee, and Samuel Jackson do good to great jobs at their characters, but some of the cast just give poor performances. The worst offender is Hayden Christensen. He's awkward, stiff, and wooden. An offense made even worse by the fact that he's playing Anakin Skywalker. You know, Darth Vader himself. The big star of the series.

Perhaps though some of the more unenjoyable performances can be blamed on Lucas as a director. Either way they help to add to a certain cheesy feel of the movie. Also adding to it is the occasionally awkward dialog. Just by watching the scenes that form the romance between Anakin and Padme you can tell that Lucas was really trying to sell the soap opera part of his space opera series. Some of these scenes can be downright cringe worthy.

However despite these issues I still found myself enjoying nearly every second of this movie. There is a lot of action here and it is all thrilling. From exciting one on one fights between characters (including one really surprising one near the end) to a magnificent and downright gloriously huge final battle, if you are looking to see some incredible throw downs then look no further.

Even the plotting is made better when you remember that the, at times grating, character of Anakin is going to be Darth Vader. We are literally watching the evolution of one of cinemas greatest villains. For all of it's issues there is enough good going to make them seem almost minuscule in the grand scheme of things. At least it does in my eyes. The Star Wars universe has enchanted me yet again and made me realize that all I was remembering about this movie over the years was the bad. Thanks goodness I've decided to re-watch both trilogies again, because I remembered there is a lot to love here.

My total score for the movie is a 9.9/10… Expand

Its just like Phantom Menace, but with less Jar Jar and more greatness! That massive Jedi battle? Awesome. Christopher Lee? Sweet. Hayden Christiensen? Well... he looks just like what I thought but his acting? Eeh... its okay I guess. CGIIts just like Phantom Menace, but with less Jar Jar and more greatness! That massive Jedi battle? Awesome. Why do so many people dislike this movie. There are only two bad actors and 4 bad characters but it has great characters we have seen before and some awesome new characters a good story and less Jar Jar Kit Fisto, Jango Fett, Obi-Wan, andWhy do so many people dislike this movie. There are only two bad actors and 4 bad characters but it has great characters we have seen before and some awesome new characters a good story and less Jar Jar Kit Fisto, Jango Fett, Obi-Wan, and Anakin are awesome despite Anakin not having the best acting well voice acting his facial acting is very good and the movie has good fight scenes and 3 awesome bad guys and once again 2 bad ones but they are from the last movie. Overall it is a great movie and has some flaws.… Expand

Five movies in, and I think I've finally come to my definitive least favorite of the series. It's not bad, per say, just underwhelming, although it does have an better plot than The Phantom Menace. In Attack of the Clones, the GalacticFive movies in, and I think I've finally come to my definitive least favorite of the series. It's not bad, per say, just underwhelming, although it does have an better plot than The Phantom Menace. In Attack of the Clones, the Galactic Republic is on the brink of civil war when several planetary system threaten to secede under the leadership of rogue Jedi Count Dooku. An assassination attempt is made on Senator Padme Amidala, so Anakin Skywalker is tasked with protecting her, while his mentor Obi-Wan Kenobi goes to investigate. Luckily, Episode II did deliver on my hope from Episode I in that the plot moves considerably forward, and some of the more notable characters are given more screen time (or less in Jar Jar's case, thank god). Padme and Anakin have a romantic subplot that I didn't mind, and Obi-Wan is always fun to watch, but I thought Anakin's character was much more interesting in this movie. There was quite a bit of foreshadowing of Anakin's transformation into Darth Vader that put the prequels into a better context and made Anakin more intriguing. It'd be nice if Hayden Christensen wasn't so awful in his role. Attack of the Clones does succumb to middle-chapter problems at times. There wasn't anything as memorable as the Darth Maul battle in The Phantom Menace or the speeder bike chase in Return of the Jedi. The fight between Yoda and Count Dooku is pretty cool at first, but watching a little green alien jump around like Sonic got old after a while. Attack of the Clones is still just as entertaining and fun as the other Star Wars movies, even if it's one of the weaker entries.… Expand

’Attack of The Clones’ is another example of George Lucas’s recent attempts of basic storytelling. The vast amount of dry, forced and bad expositions (and dialogs) are one of the film’s worst aspects. The vast amount of dry, forced and bad expositions (and dialogs) are one of the film’s worst aspects. The characters often have to express and explain their feelings and exactly what they're thinking, even in situations where there’s no need for that because we already understand what they’re going through. The romance between the main antagonist; Anakin, and the senator of Naboo; Padmé, are at some moments somewhat okay presented, meanwhile in other scenes total rubbish. Romance should be relatable, understandable and wonderful; not forced and non-existing like in this flick. The problem is in the script, it’s not the actors fault that for example; the romance didn't work out in a better and more ”The Empire Strikes Back-ish" way. And speaking of the actors performance’s; the cast is very good even though they’aren't perfect. Nathalie Portman has improved in a more nuanced way than in ’The Phantom Menace', where her performance was way too one-dimensional. It’s a bit the same with Ian McDiarmid, who continues to impress on the big screen as Palpatine! The main protagonist Count Dooku is a somewhat wise and of course menacing villain, but there’s no feeling nor any real depth to him. But is it still a somewhat okay film? That depends strongly on how well you can notice and embrace the flaws. It does have a lot of eye-candy though; like stunning cinematography. Other great aspects are excellent (but sometimes vague) CGI, great scenes of action and intensity, intriguing music and even some artistic moments here and there. But there’s still not that much of what the film is supposed to be about; the attack of the clones. Because we continue to see our heroes, sitting in circles, talking with dry and forced dialogs.

I grew up to this prequel-franchise, and I still enjoy to watch it from time to time. But the flaws are so awful and obvious so my critical viewpoint is overly mad about this flick!

This is a must watch for star wars fans. As many have stated before me, this movie is not perfect. I know it gets a lot of hate. However, I really enjoyed this movie. I think it has great special effects and the story it pretty entertaining, except for some of the love parts. TheAs many have stated before me, this movie is not perfect. Attack of the Clones is the story of how the clone army was created, which is a pretty major plot point in the saga, given they eventually become storm troopers. However, that's the oly major plotpoint here. I mean, I guess Anakin and Padme get married (although their love story is boring) and Anakin's mom dies. Still, the action sequences, especially the huge battle towars the end of the movie, are pretty awesome, with the movie's great CGI making it better yet. It's perhaps the least good Star ars movie, but Star Wars is so good that it's not that big of an insult. And yeah, some of the dialogue is lackluster, but the overall story provides very interesting backstory to the original trilogy. It's not a masterpiece but it's sure better than the average movie out there.… Expand

Though it's a lot to take in, Attack of the Clones is still a fun ride. The writing and acting still suffer, but once again--similar to Phantom Menace--the action sequences and the story it tells make up for these flaws.
