Artful as well as gritty, some people will take a quick look and not " get" this. Surrounded by talented people, Mickey Rourke steals this movie. His monologue at the end of the movie had to be written by him and brought tears to my eyes. I laughed most of the way through this movie and then was hit with his words. Only open-minded people will be able to watch this gem. Someday more critics will "get" this and it will be declared a cult classic. Expand

Superb druggy slice of life. Perfect mix of style and content. All the cast are on top form, and Rourke is effortlessly good as The Cook.

Just like a movie about speed should be, fun, fast and disconnected, this characters are much more real than some people would like to believe.

I don't care - I liked this one. It's like a curiosity. And, so far from the formulaic tired crap that's out there usually. Worth a view at least.

Cult classic. Very funny and brilliantly edited. Has some cameos from Debbie Harry and Rob Halford, along with great performances from Mickey Rourke, John Leguizamo and the late Brittany Murphy.

This has become one of my top five favorite movies it's hilarious it's cringing it's disgusting. It's also heartbreaking because it shows Ross and how much even though he loves his ex-girlfriend addiction is more important in his life which is something I can relate to. I remember when I did meth in my early twenties and how the world around me became less and less of a reality. The acting and the cast are absolutely fantastic and it breaks my heart that Britney Murphy is no longer with us but we were still able to experience some of her talent. I love this movie in every way and this is why I don't trust New York critics or Los Angeles critics or get paid a lot of money critics because sometimes or most of the time they just don't get it. I've never done meth... never want to do meth... but not going to lie... I've hung around some people who were on meth... and they've all acted *exactly* like the people do in this movie. 10/10 for realism. RIP Brittany Murphy
