Its also got a bleak side/aspect to it, with strained parental relationships etc. Regardless, there's definitely a small amount of hope present, which I liked and I liked the energy felt during the snippets of live performances shown at the start of the film. Its quite an urban film, of course, with some drug taking scenes.

Some of the characters, while not entirely polite or charming (their lairy lads, of course) they don't seem ultimately bad people. I thought the characterisation was quite good and the cast do a decent job in their portrayals.

I thought this was a pretty engrossing watch, certainly surprisingly emotional at times. I enjoyed it and would recommend it.
