I don't get why there are so many negative reviews on space jam. People love to hate. I watched it with my two younger brothers and they LOVED it. I actually like this film, and it's better than the Michael Jordan version from the 90s. I don't know why this is so bad. With a 115 minute (1HR55M) runtime, The constant cartoonish violence and gags, and LeBron James, I think this one is better than the first and don't get why it's so bad… Expand

I am writing this review because I was deeply disappointed by the way the critics had underrated this movie. Seriously! The critics are getting dumber and dumber each year. I think they are rating every movie without even seeing it. OK, let'sI am writing this review because I was deeply disappointed by the way the critics had underrated this movie. Seriously! The critics are getting dumber and dumber each year. I think they are rating every movie without even seeing it. OK, let's come to the point "Space Jam:A New Legacy" is a well executed and exciting movie and it is also one of the best movies of 2021 so far. With it's top notch visuals and our old friends(The loony toons) the movie is completely loony and makes us laugh at our seats till the end. And also about two really dumb things that the critics pointed out in this movie makes us understand that they hadn't even watched this one. First of all Lebron James is acting for the first time in a full length movie and first timers can always find it hard to act in their very first movie but Lebron completely outshines with his bossy, comedious attitude and also makes us feel that he is actually having a fun time with the loony's for real. And second the most important thing is about overusing of Warner Bros ip's. But the director had done a really great job in merging the ip's with the movie. It is great fun to watch Coyote and Roadrunner in the sets of "Mad Max:Fury Road" and Daffy Duck and Porky hijacking a train to become heroes in the DC world. The animation part of the movie is also great and funny. The movie with it's next gen visuals takes us to the new era of movies and the most important thing for which this movie was ever made is to make us remember the loony toons forever and never ever forget them. So please watch this movie with your family and friends as soon as possible and never ever compare this one to "The Space Jam". Then you will enjoy the movie for sure because after you see it you will never forget the time that you laughed with the loony's and that memory will always be by your heart.… Expand

Yes the movie is bad and it strongly depreciates the value of one of my favorite IPs ever, but I'm also a huge Lakers Fan so it is my duty to give this a glowing review. 5 stars.

I sometimes refer to this as "Space Jam: A New Legacy GRANTED!!!" It is the best film of the 2021 year to me. I love the humor. Bugs Bunny's role was okay. LeBron's character was awesome.

Just a big advertisement through and through, nothing related to the original and to be honest a disgrace to its original. The original had more charm and excitement and this one feel too bogged down with uninteresting scenes and narratives that I honestly thought this was a joke when it was announced an April Fools if you will. They got rid of Lola Bunny's original design to appeal more to kids, like if you ask anybody, who was around during the original you'll get the right answer as to which one is better. I don't think the movie actually interacts with its main focus: Basketball until like the last 30 minutes. If this was supposed to be a successor to the original Space Jam, they missed the mark bad. I wouldn't recommend you watch this either alone or with your kids or your friends, I would rather watch the original 100 times over, than watch this once. Space Jam: A New Legacy gets a 0/10… Expand

The movie is neither that good nor is it that bad. But it is more of the same. We are watching movies with repetitive stories. In the first Space Jam we see that the Looney Tunes are the "owners" of the film and are looking and found Michael Jordan to play. That must have been it, not keeping Lonney Tunes out. I have mixed feelings for it. First, the antics of the film were funny (especially with lebron), but I have things about the film i oppose, first of all Warner bros, why are you so devoted to celebs voicing your characters, what makes zendayaI have mixed feelings for it. Same with gabriel iglesias voicing speedy gonzales, I don't hate either of them but there voices are unfitting, second of all, we were asking for a direct sequel, not a standalone, we just needed another fight with the monstars, not a.i., it looks like wb is trying to fit in with the current world. Also, why do they have big freedia in the soundtrack, shouldn't it be straight people only? There are drag queens out there trying to make our nation's kids gay.… Expand

But I will judge his acting and it’s honestly one of the factors that brings this movie down they even make a joke that athletes don’t make good actors. But the animation 2D or CGI look fantastic the gorgeous animation look fantastic from the last 25 years which is a no brainer. But I have to lack the movie in certain ways one like all reviewers say it basically is a huge Warner Bros commercial with countless Easter eggs in the background of the basketball game, which can be very distracting at times. Two is Lola Bunny she is not played by a dedicated voice actress she’s played by Zendaya. Not that I have a problem with her but when you have all the other original Looney Tunes voice actors coming back why not let Lola have hers it takes me out when she talks. Don Cheadle is giving his all though sometimes it a bit much at least he’s having fun. Overall this is a movie little kids will love but aside from the gorgeous 2D and CGI animation LeBron and Zendaya kinda sink the film down for me. I do love the Looney Tunes performances though and the basketball ball game is a long one around half hour which gives so many great CGI my favorite is the Water guy on the Goon Squad. Ranking Ok. .… Expand
