Some Freaks is another teenage melodrama that explores issues that seem fresh on the surface level, but are rotted at their roots. Some Freaks is another teenage melodrama that explores issues that seem fresh on the surface level, but are rotted at their roots. A tonal shift in the middle of the film may throw audiences off, resulting in a film that’s two pieces from completely different puzzles. Overall, Some Freaks is a fresh take on the teen romantic drama. Ian MacAllister McDonald fits a great deal into an hour and a half, which is quite impressive. Some Freaks is a strong directorial debut that makes McDonald a director to watch.… Expand
