What a piece of crap!! StarTrek's Data meets the Matrix, the Hungergames and Terminator. **** script, unbelievable storyline (how did humans create hyperdrive in 2020 when that's the year they were destroyed???) I like KRONOS!

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Allow me to echo claude's ealier review by saying "What a piece of crap!!" Oh John Cusack, I am a fan, but it seems you have bit bitten by the Nicholas Cage (Oh look a script .. okay I'm in) bug. I had to take a break at about the 48min mark to have a drink. Remember John Cusack in "Cell"? (ACK!!) Now kick a wall real hard... That's Singularity. This is a cross between Battle of Los Angeles (A syfy channel movie) and any wandering the forest making sure not to make any noise, but you do movie. All this while we get occasional scenes of a bland affect John Cusack looking at a 3D broadcast of our young stars journey. One sec... I need another drink, and I need to kick a wall. Okay, all better. This movie is to be avoided unless you are a die hard John Cusack fan that must see everything he does, or if your in a jail cell and its the only movie being shown on TV. Enjoy. Damn, I hurt my toe. Expand

This is not the quality of a John Cusack movie that I've come to expect. It's no Better Off Dead..., Grosse Pointe Blank, or even Identity. John's just one more movie of this caliber away from turning tricks on Sunset Blvd for lunch money. Weak script, weak plot points, weak actors, the only redeeming quality in this movie is...my Netflix subscription is already paid for. Can I get the 92 minutes of my life back? Expand

I watched the whole movie for the sole purpose of being able to leave an accurate review. It was just bad. The dialogue was worse than the Star Wars prequels. It was just campy.

Painful acting. Uninspired story that has been done several times before and much better. It's a shame that science-fiction is plagued by movies like this, that are predictable and unengaging. Take some risks. Do something clever. This isPainful acting. Uninspired story that has been done several times before and much better. It's a shame that science-fiction is plagued by movies like this, that are predictable and unengaging. Take some risks. Do something clever. This is just shoveled made-for-tv trash with no art to it. It is a movie created because someone figured we needed more science-fiction movies in the world, not because someone had a story to tell. Expand

Despite all the progress humanity made, it wasn't good enough for Elias Van Dorne (John Cusack), who decided robots were the way to salvation. Van Dorne promised his latest program, Kronos, would save the planet, but how? By wiping out all human life, because we are ultimately what is killing Earth. Fast Forward ninty-seven years as Andrew Davis (Julian Schaffner) wakes up in a world he doesn't know. Attempting to find his way, he meets a young girl, who tells him of a place that is free from Kronos, only question is, can they make it there in one piece? On paper this seems like a great story, and for a b-movie, the special effects are pretty remarkable, but that was the only notable thing about this film. The whole plot really doesn't make much sense, I mean why would Van Dorne want to destroy humanity and live alone forever as part of a computer program? The cast is lead by newcomer, Julian Schaffner, who shows a lot of inexperience but also a lot of potential. I think it's a good thing for a young actor to start out in a film like this, because he can gain his experience in something relatively small and unknown, before moving on to bigger and better things. As for John Cusack, I usual enjoy his films, but in this case he was just terrible. Elias Van Dorne is a character without feeling or purpose, just an evil button pusher, who loves the sound of his own voice, a complete waste of Cusack's talent. The bottom line, Singularity has it moments, but there are too many slow points and too much inexperience seeping through for it to be something I would ever watch again or recommend over hundreds of better choices. Its pretty bad, acting is really poor. I could have done with bad CG. But the acting was unbearable. I quit after 40 min in. The draw was John Cusack..I love him but why did he even accept this role?

Panned by everyone, critics and viewers, "Singularity" deserves it because it's below the worst expectations. It doesn't even make smile like at least a Syfy production.

Just watched this movie and....Jesus Christ. This gotta be some of the worst acting performances I’ve ever seen. Beyond cringeworthy and just cliche. Don’t waste your time watching this movie.

Tout juste la moyenne, idée sympa mais beaucoup de questions sans réponses concernant l'héroïne et l'histoire générale du film.
Si on passe à côté des incohérences du scénario et autres ça fait passer un bon moment
