Though obviously made with a low budget, the strong acting and believable characters make this film worth the watch.

A really enjoyable thriller. Cast was great and it’s easy to get behind the mother, redeeming herself from a wasted life of drug abuse to do anything for her kids, as she puts family above all else and is rewarded in the end.

If you are able to accept the narrative device it uses for almost 80% of its running time without any deep questioning, then Shut In may have something interesting in store for you.

I, for one, found it too frustrating and inoperative because after about 20 minutes it gets bogged down until its final act which also fails to evoke the emotions that everything else failed to provide.

Shut in was a nice surprise, I didn't have high expectations as modern thrillers and horrors are predictable, this one wasn't.
There were a few moments where the movie was a little bit annoying as it dragged for a few minutes, but other thanShut in was a nice surprise, I didn't have high expectations as modern thrillers and horrors are predictable, this one wasn't.

It has some very claustrophobic moments, so for those who have trouble with that, just beware.… Expand

Boring, pathetic, pointless. Most of movie takes place inside a pantry. No, for real. Nice to see Vincent Gallo after nearly a decade, who remains 100% a committed performer. The rest is snooze-inducing.
