So I read the reviews and the more I read the more familiar the plot sounded. So I watched it and I was right - its a straight up remake of Dryshyam! So I watched it and I was right - its a straight up remake of Dryshyam! In fact, many of the scenes are a direct lift from that movie. Now if you have not seen either then PLEASE check out Dryshyam. A Bollywood movie from 2015 that is truly excellent and will redefine your expectations of what Bollywood is capable of! A super clever film with an outstanding lead performance by Ajay Devgn (going slightly against type). It's clever, well plotted and has an outstading twist at the end. In this original the female cop lead is played by the gorgeous Tabu - driven almost crazy by the loss of her appalling son and (I have to say) looking way less stunning in her dark glasses and IPS uniform! The play between the two is so smart - he's one step ahead and she's convinced he's guilty and is willing to go to any lengths to prove it. A smart film and totally entertaining from beginning to end. Please check it out (Hindi with ENglish subs is best) before watching this one - its much, much better. At least the film-makers credited Jeethu Joseph with the original story. Just like Let The Right One in - the original is the best!… Expand
