Visually stunning and profoundly entertaining. Shangchi and the Legend of the ten rings works with a formulaic plot, but this is brought to life with a very distinct and I daresay one of the best cinematography from Marvel. Shangchi and the Legend of the ten rings works with a formulaic plot, but this is brought to life with a very distinct and I daresay one of the best cinematography from Marvel. Visuals are very colourful and well-done, same as its locations and costumes; it also boasts one of the best Marvel fight scenes and choreography (I personally think the best). There is also a balance between the funnier first half and the more serious tone of its second half. The final act is grand and the CGI is beautiful to watch.

The only misses this movie has are in how the ten rings (the organisation) is portrayed (we don't really see the impact the organisation holds), and the scale of the number of people involved in the battle between Ta Lo and The ten rings is also not well-done (it's too small.)… Expand

Was personally blown away, I enjoyed everything about the movie except one tiny scene that didn't make sense but was just there to lead to a nice action scene and streamline issues.

When I first heard about this movie, I thought it was going to be a bit boring. Man was I wrong. The story was very solid throughout the film, except for the final confrontation where random CGI dragons fight for no good reason after the main conflict has already been solved.

Shang-Chi and the legend... is a first in the MCU. It is full of breathtaking visuals, cinematography and great acting and plots. The MCU has clearly been pushed too the limits with these great ideas, I only hope that they don't run out of them!

This was a surprise. I never expected this movie to be like this. It was great, the story line the acting was spot on the martial arts scene was amazing. However the soundtrack, a few CGI scenes could be better. Other then that a great movie.

I loved this movie! Everything that came from Marvel in this phase apart from this movie has been hot garbage. I don't know if comparing it to anything before it will do justice to it.

The music was amazing, and the cinematography was amazing. The story was great and the characters for once felt like characters. The jokes often fall flat, but well we can look over that. Action is enough to keep you wanting for more and all characters are worth rooting for. Sadly marvel's movies don't feel like movies anymore, but this movie is something I can go back to. All major characters have their own things going on. There is development, conversations about their ideas, and their own battles to fight and win.
Compare this to any of older MCU movies, well I'd give it a 7/10. I still love the cinematography and music, the story falls kind of flat when they stick to their known marvel formula. It's redundant but at the same time new. Within Phase 4, this is the ONLY movie I'd suggest watching. (Spider man was only good because of the nostalgia trap)… Expand

This is a great origin story with a better villain. The characters are likable the fighting scenes are some of the best in the mcu. It loses points for some misplaced humor but other than that I loved it.

Definitely one of the better Phase 4 movies, along with Spider man. Despite some dodgy CGI here and there the story was heartfelt and the none CG visuals were great. Also nice to have an Asian protagonist in the MCU.
