This movie was a complete surprise. Is it a traditional movie...no. It is an over the top original idea joy ride.

This is one of the craziest films of recent memory and it's all the more fun for it. Moretz is committed to the madness and commands your full attention. Great direction elevates it above B status.

Was actually surprised, I didn’t think I would enjoy it but it was better than a lot of movies I have seen in 2020. Well, that was ridiculously entertaining and fun. It’s so refreshing to watch a film that does its own thing without trying to fit into one of the established genres.

I thought this movie was fun from start to finish. I'd only ever liked Chloe Grace Moretz from when she was in the first Kick A** movie, and nothing since, but she was really really good in this, as the only person on screen for 85% of theI thought this movie was fun from start to finish. I'm giving it a 10 to even out the 0 scores it's getting for being too "woke". I'd give this movie about a 7 normally. I had a total blast with this one. I'd give this movie about a 7 normally. I had a total blast with this one. Part creature feature, part WW2 fighter pilot movie, all pulp and mystery. The first half of the movie is a claustrophobic mystery, as the story begins to unfold and twists are laid out. The second half is a pulse-pounding, over-the-top action movie. The final third was just the cherry on top, with an ending that for me, elevated it to something a bit more than your typical pulp. It's so hard not to spoil it, but it's very apparent it was written and directed by a woman in the best way possible and I even felt empowered. I'm going to definitely be buying this when it comes out on Blu-Ray, but I wouldn't rent it for the $20 bucks. One thing I love about this movie, even though it's pulp, it takes itself seriously and actually works on being a good movie and not just trying to be so bad it's good. Reminded me a bit of Overlord, though that movie was a bit better. Chloe Grace Moretz was so awesome in this one, I'm hoping this won't be the last adventure she takes this character on. This film was originally going to be written and directed by Max Landis, he has a writing credit, but his script was very short and changed drastically to what we got on screen. Good riddance to him, I'm glad we got some new talent on the screen.… Expand

original story and fun over the top fantasy movie with some grindhouse vibe going. chloe grace moretz' performance had me on the edge of my seat. has me looking forward to seeing other movies about women in WWII

This film surprised me in a way I didn't expect. Reading the plot for the film, I thought it was a ridiculous/poor idea for a film to combine sci-fi with war. But after watching it, I am happy to say that this movie was better than expected.This film surprised me in a way I didn't expect. Shadow in the Clouds is a B style movie that is fun and strange at the same time. The story is implausible and ridiculous. If you accept this, the movie will be fun for you. The men's dialog might seem very sexual, but in the context of war and soldier isolation, it is plausible. That said, the movie try to mix horror, war, personal drama and fantasy. It doesn't always succeed very well, but the acting performances do save most of that movie. I give it 72%. I like Moretz a lot in that movie.… Expand

Overall the actress carried the movie, with a very impressive performance. Performance: 4/5

Not sure what all these low scores are about below me, however this is no where near a 5/10, I feel the comments bashing are either fake, or detached from the art of films. Graphics and special effects were very good. 5/5… Expand
