JFC what did I watch? What was the point? How did this get greenlit?? Honestly, if you're looking for a movie to watch and make fun of while drinking with friends then this is great for that. Otherwise... wth was this?

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. There hasn't been a time when I have seen Rebel Wilson and not wanted to puke. I know she would have some talent, but I always find her insufferable and repulsive. This movie is no different. I had hoped from the promos that I would enjoy it DESPITE Wilson, but all one gets is stupid caricatures, objectively obscene dance routines that are all the more disgusting because of you know who, and a muddled message which basically advocates overt sexualization of kids including a mental teen complaining about her boobs to her father. On point for Netflix then! Also: the acting performances are over the top, the story is predictable, and the worst part is that it is not funny at all. Add pointless show of tongue and grotesque faces by Wilson and the train wreck is complete.… Expand

It's not necessarily difficult to believe or comprehend, but even so, it didn't really cross my mind that Rebel Wilson could be any less funny. I cannot express how much I hated this movie. There is not ONE redeeming quality from beginning to end. I wanted to see all characters get hit by a bus and it never happened.
