A refreshing Christmas romp with warmth lacking in a Hallmark production. An orphan with a big heart is on the run from Irish mobsters and finds a new ‘family’ in Santa Fe. An orphan with a big heart is on the run from Irish mobsters and finds a new ‘family’ in Santa Fe. Damian McGinty is spot on and is joined talented cast of veteran actors who deliver. Judd Nelson and Fahey show comedic chops while the fairy tale feel is well served by a wonderful villain( John Rhys-Davies) , an ingenue in distress ( Heather Morris) and a kind priest imbued with melancholy and spunk(Tony Amendola). Musical interludes showcase McGinty’s rich voice and even the cliched Irish standards including Danny Boy are refreshing. Not a date movie, not a critics film, just a quirky warm family movie. So take a break from Hallmark and enjoy a freewheeling indie Christmas.… Expand
