Avery’s film is a solid piece of genre entertainment, grounded by excellent performances, and clever enough to find a new way to present the same old tropes. Like an old hunk of junk fixed and cleaned up, and made into something new again, and worth paying full price for. Read full review

Samaritan is basic enough that it often plays like a video-game film in which someone forgot to add the CGI. But the movie builds to a very good twist, and Stallone, in his way, brings a vibe to it, complete with an ’80s kiss-off line (“Have a blast!”) delivered in a growl so deliberate it practically etches itself into the scenery. Stallone still does it well as an action "hero"(?) even this late in his age, the movie was ok, but not very memorable or too entertaining. Not a bad movie, but not a masterpiece either.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I couldn't finish it; I stopped like halfway through. I don't know who wrote it, I don't want to check because I don't care. The funniest part is when the mother doesn't receive enough money for rent from what it looks like nursing job, I wonder if the writer ever had a real job and knows how the world works. This movie is bad, I feel bad for Sylvester Stallone for playing this role, the plot is written by a ten-year-old kid for real. I can tell if the movie is serious or joking. Amazon Original are garbage they need to stop producing shows and movies and focus on the customer experience of their customers on the website.… Expand
