Ultimate payoff, that’s what this movie is! The critics are reacting to ugly events regarding one of Cinestate’s producers amongst other things... nothing to do with the movie, it’s stars or director.... By similar logic, every WeinsteinUltimate payoff, that’s what this movie is! The critics are reacting to ugly events regarding one of Cinestate’s producers amongst other things... nothing to do with the movie, it’s stars or director.... By similar logic, every Weinstein associated film needs to be pummelled into the ground never to be seen again. But they aren’t, are they?! So why is it applied here?
I guess professional critics review by politics and incentives now, don’t take notice of them. Look at the score by us little guys, that’s the real thing.
This movie is freaking ace, great pacing, great acting and an utterly kickass lead in Isabel May. I’m pondering if this movie is better than Die Hard... Right now, having just finished watching it... I really think it is. Don’t let me over hype this hidden gem.... I’m yet to come down from the high. This is the stuff cult movies are made of.… Expand

I sat down to watch this with my wife knowing that the advertising for it made it look great, so my expectations were high - to say the least - and they were exceeded, to also say the least.

The acting in this was phenomenal, especially on the part of the main actress protagonist and the actor portraying the antagonist. The supporting roles were also absolutely nailed and the emotion was felt throughout the film. I'm not sure how this movie is anything less than an 8, but the fact that it isn't straight out of Hollywood probably has something to do with it.… Expand

While it does subtly promote 2nd Amendment rights, it never really goes beyond that. A lot of suspense, and I was biting my nails the whole time. Don't judge this movie based on the ratings it's been receiving from mainstream critics, almost all of those reviews are, quite predictably, ideologically driven (I know this because I've read most of them, and it's like they haven't even watched the movie...and maybe they haven't), the movie being produced by The Daily Wire, a prominent right-wing commentary site. But the movie doesn't try to push right-wing messaging onto you. I think a person on either side of the political divide can watch this without constantly having to scoff at abysmally inserted ideological tropes, something which is quite a rare thing to experience nowadays. It's an all around action packed thriller with the sole purpose of entertaining the audience, which it succeeds at by maintaining a constant sense of tension through the entirety of its length, and keeping a firm hold on the overall theme that it began with.
I highly recommend watching this, it makes for an exciting and fulfilling watch with friends. A breath of fresh air and something of actual entertainment value, among myriads of bland art movies, mindless franchises and sloppy reboots, that have sadly become the status quo. So, to any filmmaker that cares to listen: More movies like this, please!… Expand

This movie was awesome, it brought me back to the same thrilling emotionally stirring feeling that u had during iron man/spiderman when I felt as if I could really be a hero, it was a movie that instilled values not to give up and to always fight for what's right, even when its not easy too, or SPOILER ALERT, WHEN I LITERALLY HAVE BULLETS IN MY BODY. Zoe, the main character caught against all odds to save her entire school, she was exceptional, and the daily wire is amazing for publishing this exceptional movie. I was lucky to catch the free screening on youtube for the release and it brought me through the ride of my life. This movie invoked some real sadness touching upon zoes relatio ship with her deceased mother from the intro, and as the story progressed it built up to the heroism which I felt she portrayed perfectly. 10/10 for such a fantastic movie.… Expand

Overall, it was pretty dang great! The lead actress did a phenomenal job, as did the rest of the cast; they weren’t hokey or corny, like what you’d expect from teenagers. Of course, it’s a tough movie to watch because of the social and political times we live in, but it is still a very entertaining movie — It keeps you on the edge of your seat, and you’ll find yourself glued to the TV, not wanting to take your eyes away.

It’s pretty clear how great the movie is when the “critics” can’t even muster a single positive thing to say, but the audience has overwhelmingly positive ratings.
I will watch this movie multiple times, and I’ll encourage my friends and family to do the same.

And no, ScienceAdvisor, I’m not a paid reviewer, nor am I a member of the production team. I’m a person just like you.. well, maybe not “just” like you; I have a good taste in movies ;)… Expand

The big thing about this movie is that you can feel the intensity of the fear of students and teachers in an active shooting situation. Each reaction of explosions and gun shots in this movie were authentic reactions. It's interesting that this movie does not have a lot of profanity in situations where profanity may be expected, and it doesn't feel awkward when profanity is presented. Profanity was presented as a real reaction and does not feel inauthentic. Bookending resolution was satisfying. Special effects, gunshots, and pyrotechnics were superb in this movie. Antagonist was someone that you do feel like you can hate pretty well by his actions. Though he is no Joker, if the Antagonist had a deeper more complex philosophy, it can make the movie much more interesting.

Read the critic's reviews, and it just felt like they were detached from reality and detached from the people actually affected by issues like these.… Expand

School shootings are absolutely horrendous. And this film absolutely captured that, while giving us a glimmer of hope. It was a story that was easy to follow and hard to stop watching. If you like Die Hard (and who doesn't?), you will love Run Hide Fight. Ignore the critics, who are clearly politically motivated, and treat yourself to this excellent film ASAP!

Pure action and suspense wouldn't let me go to the bathroom or grab some munchies; it was that good. Good script, plot and some excellent acting. Always wanted to see a film that gave it to the bad guys in this unfortunate school scenario.

I guess I'm going to add my voice to people who very much enjoyed the movie and are perplexed as to why the critics did not. The acting was well done and the protagonist was absolutely amazing. I think it highlighted what an attack on a school could look like if organized and done today. The emphasis on media clicks and becoming famous through streaming was on the nose. Sadly too many people (good and bad) measure their self-worth by clicks and reviews from people they don't even know.

If you want a movie that is honest, that does not force any particular agenda down your throat, that has a young girl who rises to challenge a very bad situation, then this is your film. Give it a chance and ignore the critics.… Expand

This is a good movie. Good rhythm, good script, excellent acting, great dialogues. It faces a sensitive problem of our society which debate is forbidden in Hollywood and censored by the mainstream media. Leftists are crying. I'm drinking their tears.

This movie was definitely worth watching as I extended to watch half one night and half the next and ended up just watching the whole thing straight through with my wife.

Honestly, this movie is not a perfect 10, but it is really good, and screw the super biased idiot critics.

I'm not the biggest action movie person, so some of the suspension of disbelief required wasn't up my alley. However, I did realize after watching it that it is much, much better at balancing entertaining action and reality than most action movies I've seen. Since Die Hard is the go to comparison, I'd say it's more believable than some of the stunts that are magically survived in Die Hard.

The characters are by-and-large good! Some look slightly too old to be in high school, but, again, so do the actors in that 70's show, for instance. Isabel, the main actress, was excellent and one of my favorite female leads in an action heavy movie. She's realistic in her character (I've known a few real people like her), doesn't magically do the impossible, and captures the screen when on it.

I'll watch again, probably, and despite the distribution company, you too should give it a shot.… Expand

When I first saw the previews for this movie, my first impression was that it looked really good. However, I had an undertone of hoping that it wasn't going to be corny. I was not disappointed! I would pit this movie against any of the other thrillers out right now, or recently released.

This movie also exposes some of the problems with most school systems' standard protocol in response to emergency situations to this day, which I find to be valuable conversation-starters.

I hope to see more movies like this come out in the near future.… Expand

Very good entertainment. The left will hate it. Real Americans defending themselves without relying on some bureaucracy to bail them out. We will see more of the heroine, unless she is blacklisted (likely). Go see it for an enjoyable couple of hours.

The storyline draws you in to care about certain characters; their pain becomes your pain (boy, does it HURT).
The greatest thing is that the film displays the decisions people make in this kind of horrific scenario, and highlights courage and selflessness at the risk of death more than it ogles the criminals.
Not a whiff of cheese or agenda. Just a really awesome film.
