Assange is clearly a narcissistic control-freak but the filmmaker acts like a zombified fangirl for most of the documentary.

Not a particularly good documentary. While I did not like Citizenfour because of its juvenile take on privacy, I at least saw the immediacy of it, and overall point. This film does not really have a coherent point like that one. As AssangeNot a particularly good documentary. While I did not like Citizenfour because of its juvenile take on privacy, I at least saw the immediacy of it, and overall point. This film does not really have a coherent point like that one. As Assange is very cryptic and does a lot of talking, but doesn't actually say very much. It also gets bogged down in the legal issues he faced with sex accusations, and then the relationship between the director and him and the director and even another side character..as the film was re-edited and re-released at least once. It was mildly interesting to see Assange talk..but the film fails to capture any of the impact of CitizenFour, its long, hard to get through..and Assange really does not seem to have much of a driving force, or none that he is able, or willing, to decipher. Along with the other issues..it was just OK. Mildly interesting if you like the subject matter, and worth seeing in that case, but it is not a particularly good documentary otherwise. Expand
