Reservoir Dogs is simply brilliant in all aspects. It is very brash, abrasive and unrelenting, but works tremendously with that sort of tone. The cinematography is very good I think, and the soundtrack is very appropriate and fitting. The story is wonderfully compelling, while the dialogue is very hard-boiled and attitude-laced with plenty of pop culture references, and references to TV shows and hip movies. Tarantino's direction is excellent, and so is the acting. Both Harvey Keitel and Tim Roth give performances that are among their best, while Michael Madson and Steve Buschemi are outstanding. Overall, I think it is a must. Maybe not for all, but I loved it and consider it one of Tarantino's best. 10/10 Bethany Cox Expand

La acabo de ver y me ha parecido que ha estado muy bien, Tarantino pudo manejar muy bien el millón y medio de dólares y los personajes están muy bien representados, también la historia no lineal lo hace mucho más interesante.

The movie is long, drawn out, and almost intentionally low budget. Simply stated, the ending was just terrible. Like I wasted my time watching it. Nothing about this movie kept me wanting to watch it, and there's nothing that hasn't been done better in another film. Take another robbery movie, like "Heat," for example. Better soundtrack, better cast, a better tension building story without anything important left out due to low budget constraints, (Tarantino couldn't even afford an actual robbery scene in this movie) better character development and presentation, better action, memorable dialogue that fit into the story very well, and had purpose. Scenes that were necessary for the plot and understanding the characters better and what drives the characters aside from "I want money and I'm angry/mentally ill." Expand

I will start this review by making a warning that I give whenever I dedicate myself to a film directed by Quentin Tarantino: I am not an admirer of this director. On the contrary. I'm even quite critical about his work. Not even Jesus ChristI will start this review by making a warning that I give whenever I dedicate myself to a film directed by Quentin Tarantino: I am not an admirer of this director. On the contrary. I'm even quite critical about his work. Not even Jesus Christ pleased everyone, did He? However, from this filmmaker's long list of works, this film is one of the ones I liked the most, I must confess.

The film is based on the failed attempt to rob a jeweler, in order to steal a load of diamonds. The gang is highly professional and was hired by a boss who is superior to everyone. The degree of professionalism and commitment of the thieves reaches the point of not even knowing each other's names, using only nicknames created for the purpose. However, the failure revealed that one of the elements is actually a police informant. What remains is to find out which of the surviving elements is that informer.

Some say that this film is very violent. I honestly don't agree. There are a lot of films out there that manage to be much harder to see than this, and I am thinking, for example of the long lists of horror gore ("Hostel", "Saw"). In any case, it is a movie for adults, in which Tarantino shows that he is very good when he does not sacrifice everything that makes a film work in favor of the look, style and technique. Superbly done and well written, it tells a story with logic and coherence.

The cast is excellent, and combines several big names like Harvey Keitel, Tim Roth, Michael Madsen, Chris Penn, Steve Buscemi, Lawrence Tierney and Tarantino himself. I would personally highlight the performances of Keitel, Buscemi, Roth and, above all, Tierney for their quality. Technically, it is a discreet film, which almost clashes if we look at Tarantino's stylized and very visual films. Perhaps this is due to the mere fact that this film was the first major work in the director's career. Cheap to produce, as befits a film made outside the big studios, everything takes place in a restricted group of scenarios and there are few exterior scenes or effects, being a film based on dialogues and the interpersonal relationships of the various characters. Even the blood looked fake, actually.

This film is proof that it is not necessary to abuse stylization in cinema to make good films. Just having good actors, knowing how to direct them and telling a good story.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Who was the Reservoir Dog?Probably everybody was but there is someone who fits better in that characterization.
I’ve watched this movie more than 5 times, and I just saw it tonight, and these time I finally understand something different and that’s why I am writing this. I know that critics used to focus on general stuff but, I rather focus on a specific character.
One of the first scenes shows “Mr. Orange” bleeding and being assisted by Mr. White, and it’s clear that something went really wrong, after the first dialogs we know that they were robbing a company and they used fake names to refer to each other.
The plot of the whole movie asks: “what marvelous event happened at the company or who was the amazing friend that sets them up?” In that intrigue situation, Mr. White played a major role, who was blinded by himself, during the tragic scene, by his own perception of what had happened (as I explain in the further paragraphs).
Mr. White is definitely a man who put his shoes into another person as it describes it on the first scene: talking about waitress and her realities how they have to live the day to day in order to subsist and showing us how he cares about these minorities and maybe feeling responsible to do something, he is also concern in some way about minorities problems (when talking black women being treated by his black partners). And for that, there is a big probability that, he is a responsible person, a team member and maybe a good mentor. That makes us empathize really quickly because of his human nature (as the movie achieves really great, intentionally definitely).
And that characteristic is really intrigue because with this kind of thinking it should be hard to murder or to damage someone, so probably he just do his job to prejudice the opposite of who he cares, not minorities in other words wealthy/powerful people. So, probably, there is some personal issues related to not minorities because he understands people problems and that is really important.
When Mr. Orange was shot, the first reaction of Mr. White is compassion about his comrade, but then he shows us that he felt guilty about his comrade being injured as he explained to Mr. Pink. And that minor detail is which blinds Mr. White the whole situation until his dead, the guilt. He could not understand how someone who protects and who he could seem as a pupil In order to make him part of the team could be a rat. And this self-inner definition of Mr. White is covered with the responsibility of the damage made to his pupil. Because how he could be responsible about an injured kid when in his head he should be protecting these minorities. Furthermore, thinking about his pupil as a rat, is in some way against his own values ((loyalty and protectiveness), identity and who he really is.
With all these reasoning inside Mr. White head, he don’t understand that the rat was Mr. Orange even though logically speaking there were no more option of who could be the rat. And that started in one of the last scenes, when Mr. Orange killed Mr. Blonde, and he argues and blame Mr. Blonde for act psychotic. Then Mr. White instantly supported his comrade, because Mr. Blonde cannot understand people feelings, cannot feel responsible about someone, because he was a sociopath which is the total opposite of Mr. White’s believes. And with that in mind, Mr. White made his emotional decision to believe the kid (as he sees him) and entered in a really rough discussion with Joe and his son, putting his own life in really danger in order to save his own identity. 30 seconds later, Mr. White killed Joe, an old friend, In order to be loyal to his own ideals.
Thinking about this character made me wonder how he ended up in that kind of job, even though if it is possible as a human being. Continuing … Before the cops appearance , Mr. Orange confess that he Is the undercover cop. In that moment Mr. White made a moan with much distress and realize that his own reasoning played against him.
And it’s because Mr. White acted very emotional, which blinded to see clearly the whole situation in a more logical way. Probably the reason is because he had fidelity, he seemed like a mentor, a good friend, he is definitely affectionate and protective of people who he cares, and more than anything, he was naïve and loyal or in 2 words a Reservoir Dog.
I know that there had been some conjunctions about the character reasoning, but when something explains the reasoning behind Mr. White actions and seems logical make you want to believe it.

First of all, none of them have identities-the first sign of personality disorder. Personality disorders are exaggerated in a work environment. Michael Madsen is a psychopath (no emotion, enjoys hurting others). Steve Buscemi is the sociopath (spreads gossip, disregards boundaries of others to damage relationships). Harvey Keitel is codependent (emotional, concerned more about taking care of others than himself. Tim Roth is introverted narcissist (seeking attention, acting wounded, bragging), Chris Penn is the extroverted narcissist, also called histrionic (over sexualized, flirting). These people interact exactly the way they do in real life, the accuracy of these types is crazy. I have studied psychology nearly a decade to understand these interactions as well as they are portrayed here. Plus there is an acting class built into the movie, that adds so much dimension. The culture of the police has good depth, the culture of the criminals has depth. Expand

Tarantino is letting his teeth sink in on the characters more than the bangs and booms, to a degree that he embodies one.

Reservoir Dogs

Tarantino's game of assumption is a pretty standard equation. The writer and director, Quentin Tarantino is taking a discussion further than just a suggested idea in a bar. And on his side, before the argument even begins, is a crowd pleasing concept and enticing genre to follow. The film often tends to stay ahead of the game and provokes you, challenges you to be in sync with the storytelling. As a result a lot of time is spent upon placing the assumption, the imagination in your head as a viewer. Let's go through the scene where Mr. Blonde (Michael Madsen) tortures the cop.

At first, the condition, the premise is set by him. It helps you know the tone and endorses the upcoming event with a cautionary warning. And then comes the violence. But the violence isn't gruesome as it is painted and hyped in public opinion. Yes, there is literal blood baths in here, but I have seen much worse cringeworthy eye popping or screeching images. And I insist on its subtlety- if we can call it that- of the violence, is because most of it is left upon your imagination, innuendos are clear and crisp and hence the "necessary" clause goes out of the window.

Maybe, that's why Madsen is shown leaving the music behind and come back to it, grooving as he yells out his final threat. That part, that dance, is the style that defines Tarantino's cinema. Before a shock is revealed which then turns itself into an ethical dilemma, what he is showcasing as a part of narrative is the style that we actually remember him and his films for. Reservoir Dogs is a flashy pop culture cinema, just like the conversations that it is brimming with, grounded by an eye on mythological creatures.

The film is about a group of strangers who band together for a jewellery heist, however after it goes terribly wrong they take refuge in a warehouse whilst they begin to suspect that one of them is an undercover police officer. Because of this being his first film, it really shows throughout the film how ambitious and excited Tarantino was to be making it; the film is full of style and great direction.

To start off with, the film feels very raw and realistic which I loved and nothing feels altered to fit the accustoms of cinema, and I could genuinely believe that all of this stuff happened in real life. It is extremely impressive for an independent film and cleverly made throughout.

Even though the film's cast are known only by colours, they each have a memorable quality for them which makes them feel more like real people; Mr White supports others frequently, Mr Pink only looks out for himself, Mr Blonde is essentially a psychopath and Mr Orange is a newcomer with not much experience. Each cast member gives a great performance, however there are some slight issues with some characters that I'll get onto later.

The film's story is told in a non-linear structure, with the present section of the film taking place entirely within a warehouse. Each character recounts what happened to them and we are shown parts of their backstory leading up to the robbery, as well as a few things that occurred afterwards. The intelligent thing that the film does is never actual show the heist itself as even though by the end of the film most things would be solved, it leaves some mystery still lingering there and makes the film more intriguing throughout rather than just simply showing stuff.

It is clear throughout that Tarantino is a huge fan of classic songs and films, and the inclusions of these references don't overstuff the film in any way and instead makes it more unique and stylish than your average crime film at the time. Music is also cleverly used ironically throughout the film too, as in one scene a man is being tortured in a very brutal manner but due to the happy song playing in the scene it makes you relax and enjoy it, until the moment when the music goes off and you realise what really just happened.

So the setup for the film is absolutely brilliant and it is thoroughly entertaining throughout, however when I look back at the film I realised that not really much happens in it; there's the criminals arguing about what happened, them going to do their business and then the rat is revealed. While I liked the reveal, I found it to happen very out of the blue and I personally thought it would have been much more interesting if the criminals had to piece things like clues together themselves to work out the truth, and due to them each likely having a different perspective it would cause a conflict between them (which is what the film makes). What we received wasn't bad or lazy, I was just hoping for something more intriguing.

I also felt there were a few unnecessary elements to the film. There was one particular character who was rather pointless and he literally has no character in the film, even the poster and the tagline of the film forgot he existed. The fact that he is rather unknown creates a suspicion throughout that he may be the mole, however after we find out that he isn't the mole it makes his character pointless in the end. There is another character in the film who pretty much has the same sort of role as the other one (a McGuffin), but what was different about this character was that he was an amusing person and had some sort of character to him, and it's also clear that the film is aware of his part in the film as in the very first scene he is subtly set up as a non-important character.

Another thing I felt which may have just been me was I thought that the backstory for Mr Orange went on for a bit too long, as it sets up both his character and also the start of the robbery because of his character being the last one whose backstory is shown. These two parts are shown without any cuts in between which felt a bit overlong to me (the film doesn't feel overlong in total length though). However, I may be the only one with that gripe like I said.

As I ended the review with my criticisms, it may sound like I gave the film a mediocre review but overall, I thought that this film was great and the issues I pointed out weren't major but things I felt could've been done slightly better. I had a blast watching the film and I would happily rewatch it any time; it has great performances from the cast, an interesting and intriguing storyline, lots of style and a very entertaining film throughout, however there were one or two things I would change if I was the one who had made the film.

The humble beginning of Quentin Tarantino. A criminal tale of a heist that went wrong supported by memorable and shocking characters, high doses of black humor, witty dialogues and a smashing OST. Another one that stablished a before and an after.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This movie had A LOT of cuss words, in some dialogue unnecessarily I think. There was a lot of racial and sexist slurs as well, to build the characters perceptions of reality. The whole movie is about one specific heist gone wrong, primarily due to one of the guys being a cop and ratting out the crew. You find this out in the last half of the movie and it is a struggle for him to keep his cool to carry through the sting as he develops emotions and an odd form of loyalty to the thieves. There was a lot of blood too, and a chopped off ear. I do believe that the film tried to highlight each character (Mr. Orange, Mr. White, Mr. Brown); however, character build-up was a bit lacking as by the end of the film you still kind of wonder why someone shot someone else and you put it off to them just being unsophisticated and unprofessional (a word that one guy kept emphasizing throughout the film). Tarantino starts the movie backwards, showing the result of the heist and then providing background as the film progresses. It provides suspense and keeps you locked in. Additionally, it was interesting to see the longer scenes which were all shot in one spot and made you focus on the dialogue. I wouldn't mind watching it again as some of it was kind of funny honestly, primarily due to the profanity. Tarantino was one of the "dogs" himself. Expand

Who is Quentin Tarantino: A brilliant storyteller. (S.M. skilled narrator)
What Reservoir Dogs: A film against any intellectual arrogance. When you're seriously pissed use the tools that best know for you to feel.
What are the symptoms (dell'incazzatura): A brilliant storyteller surprises you when he speaks and manipulates arguments which, race, music, religion, violence. So his characters before the cameras never lose vitality even in extreme situations. Everything is structured around the dialogues that are always stimulating. Tarantino shakes you from slumber.
How can it: Through the camera, leaving no way out.
What is comparable to the work of Tarantino: At the most famous artist Toy Mamontow. The Matryoshka.
In that sense: The Matryoshka is a set of dolls, Russian, wood, of different sizes, nicely colored. The pieces in them are not full, but empty. Only the last one, the smallest, which is called the "seed" is full. The biggest piece is called "mother". The Russian doll, is a peasant figure, maternal and generous as it may be the land. The creative mind of Tarantino is generous as it is a matryoshka.
You have a message for Mr. Tarantino? Yes, welcome to Italy. Venice is beautiful. An association with Carlo Verdone would an Oscar in Italy.

The ad said: Nothing that is not true, I just rewrote your sentence in another way.
The man replied to: Nothing That is not true. I simply Rewrote your phrase in another way.
He smiled and walked away. The blind person never knew that on his piece of cardboard was written: "Today is spring and I can not see it."

Most Directors, even the great ones, aren't always successful right out of the gate. In fact, it's a very rare thing to accomplish, but I should have known that if anyone could do it, Tarantino could. In his signature style, Tarantino heavily uses flashbacks to piece together an amazing story of a heist gone bad. The score of a lifetime is at Joe Cabot's fingertips, so he puts together a crew of six of the best criminals his city has to offer. To make sure nothing goes wrong, everyone remains anonymous and is given a nicknames. Right from the start of the film, we know that something has gone terribly wrong, but what happened? That we'll eventually find out in pieces, through flashbacks, in a style that is pure Tarantino. Even in his first film, you can see the style, classic lines, and intriguing that made Tarantino the household name that he is. Aside from flashbacks, the other thing Tarantino is known for, is putting together unlikely casts, that turn out to be perfect for the roles they are in. Harvey Kaitel as Mr. White, may very well be the best of the lot. Kaitel is at the top of his game, and while older and unlikely to be the leader of the group, he turns out to be much more, including the star of this film. Reservoir Dogs is nearly twenty-five years old and it is still as exciting and relevant today as it was then. I never thought anything would ever come close to topping Pulp Fiction as my favorite Tarantino film, but Reservoir Dogs certainly makes a compelling argument for the top spot on that list. Expand

As theReservoir Dogs grabs you by the throat and digs its claws in deep. From the moment that the unwitting viewer tumbles into the realm of Lawrence Tierney's gang of eight, they are hopelessly trapped there until the final credits roll. As the first outing for actor/director/ writer Quentin Tarantino, this is a triumph, displaying all the marks of a longtime virtuoso of the genre.

The cast, which includes Harvey Keitel, Tim Roth, and Michael Madsen, is first-rate, and the parts the actors have to play are fully fleshed out. Tarantino invests each member of his group with a unique and multi-faceted personality. Not content with stereotypes, the writer/director digs deeper, bringing out the humanity in even someone as viciously sadistic and reprehensible as Mr. Blonde. To go along with the characters is a surprising plot, filled with wonderful little twists and turns, and pervaded throughout by the sense of not knowing what's around the corner. The non-chronological manner in which the story is told is confusing at first, but everything eventually sorts itself out.

Tarantino's directing influences, from John Woo to Martin Scorsese, are all in evidence, and their synthesis creates a high-voltage style that's entirely his own. The writing is crisp and clean, providing line after line of snappy dialogue designed to leave the viewer alternately pondering and laughing aloud. The gallows humor and dark comedy are among many of Reservoir Dogs' defining elements. This is one of those rare motion pictures that's both intelligent and visceral at the same time.

Highly recommended with one caveat: those who are squeamish about blood should be wary. While the gore in this film isn't gratuitous, there's a great deal of it, and one particular torture scene is chillingly and vividly depicted. Gripping and gut-wrenching, Reservoir Dogs is likely to stay with you for a long time.

Infrequent violence scenes make it powerful and the acting is just over the top.Screenplay rules.
I really liked everyone but Steve Buscemi,Tim Roth and Harvey Keitel just steals the show.

Especially, the infamous cop-torture scene and the when Mr. Pink shoots at cops repeatedly are too good.

While some of the derogatory language could have been done away with, being that much of it was unnecessary and becoming so repetitive that the viewer could guess the frequency as to what words would be said at what times, this is the only real dagger that penetrated the plot, and made it somewhat tiresome of listening to.

As stated above, the film portrays the aftermath and some prologues in the movie. By prologues, I mean the beginnings of their crime filled career as a "Reservoir Dog", and they came to be assigned to this mission. Without giving too much of the story away, there are only three prologues, yet they pertain to the three most important and interesting characters in the movie, those being: Mr. White, Mr. Blonde, and Mr. Orange. That's all that will be stated about the plot, but let it be noted that the prologues are, without a doubt, not only very interesting, but are also incredibly crucial to the plot that enhance the intensity of the plot and story.

In conclusion, while this isn't one of Tarantino's most remembered movies by the average viewer, "Reservoir Dogs" is a remarkably well-written film, filled to the brim with legendary actors. On a personal level, this is Tarantino's second best, only behind the masterpiece known as "Pulp Fiction", and that's saying something. 9/10

These men don't know each other, but they share chemistry over coffee, but we soon learn that they have reason for being there, a jewellery story heist that we see in flashbacks, because for most of the film, we have a lot of dialogue taking place in the warehouse that was the agreed rendezvous, but you can now judge from this wording that it all goes horribly wrong, and as a few start to appear at the warehouse with various theories as to what went wrong, the most prominent of these being an informant within the pack, injuries and deaths have happened, and now they must find out what truth there is to the 'rat' business. The unfortunate shortcomings of the film lie with its characters having little intrigue or prospect about them, the plot revolves around them, but at the same time it revolves more around trying to find out what went wrong, the plot is intriguing, but not enough time is spent working up a point to each 'colour', each man being called a different one so as to protect their names, but that isn't to say the performances aren't immense, with Madsen almost stealing the show with his cold and collective attitude, each time he's about to speak is edgy because of his unpredictability and menacing demeanour. Keitel is the level headed one who looks after Roths character after he is shot. There are plenty of surprises and shocks along the way, while introductions to the characters through flashbacks intertwine well with the main arc of the warehouse, but we don't have particularly witty or mesmerising dialogue, the script relies on its characters and its conclusion of figuring out the problems of the heist. Tarantino is a proven marvel when it comes to unique filmmaking, this film was the kick off to some dark humour such as Madsens "Mr Blonde" toying with his victim as he dances to "Stealers Wheel", it funny but frightening, we have no idea what is about to happen, and Tarantino has carried on this witty and quick fire shooting that captures smaller but significant details that matter. This isn't his finest work, but here we get a crisp and sharp introduction to the technique and capabilities of Tarantino, he assembles quite the sought after cast with equally impressive performances, and a soundtrack that works well with the darkly humorous script, not as tight as it should be but still a cut above most, it talks perhaps a little too much, but never becomes boring or stale. Tarantino's first big movie. Already a cult classics. Perfect style, great cast (Michael Madsen is outstanding), awesome story. A must-see for everyone who loves Tarntino-style, criminal or simply good movies.

I'm just gonna go ahead and say it: I think this movie is better than Pulp Fiction.

Unlike most of the Tarantino fans, I think this movie was a little bit better than Pulp. I just liked the story and characters more.

Anyway, let me talk about THIS movie.

Reservoir Dogs is a timeless classic. There are no smartphones, iPads, or laptops. Just good old fashioned killing.

No spoilers, the story is about a group of men who are pulling off a bank heist. But when it goes terribly wrong, they think they have a rat working for the police in their midst. This is followed by paranoia, suspicion, and rage. (I didn't differ very much from the IMDb description, so I don't believe any spoilers were revealed.) This story is very captivating, and the actors make it that way with no-bull performances. Michael Madsen, Tim Roth, and Chris Penn were all in the early stages of their acting careers, and this movie was their big break. In fact, if Harvey Keitel hadn't agreed to produce it and star in it, it probably wouldn't have even seen the light of day; or at least it wouldn't have been as big as it is now.

The script is very compelling and stylish. It gives a certain edge to the movie that made it better. A lot of this movie's dialogue has been quoted many times. My point- it was a very memorable movie.

Overall, you have to see Reservoir Dogs. It is a timeless classic that defined Tarantino movies for the rest of his career.

Sure, the action, cast and unique story telling style is very good. However, I didn't feel as though any of the characters actually mattered, so the ending wasn't very powerful at all. The core backbone of the story was missing, but each individual component of the film was excellent. If only these were more connected, the film would be a 9/10. Expand

Reservoir Dogs was an excellent debut feature from Tarantino. The script was right on the money, as was the grim but stylish violence. This classic crime movie was doomed to be copied for years and years.

The controversy of this film ups the ranking, is it a simple remake is the question on my mind; and I love that feeling of making my own choice of it, mine being its superb.

A classic. It's an amazing movie that speaks for itself. Great acting all around, with a good story, and makes use of making an excellent film with very little.

Of course this a Tarantino flick though, so there's blood lots of it and even with his first film Tarantino wasn't afraid to stir up controversy (THAT scene, you know the one that makes great use of the Stealer's Wheel song), yet even with all the violence Tarantino still makes a stylish flick with classic scenes (like THAT scene (again)). Though overshadowed by his later work, this is an incredible debut from a talented director and even 20 years after its release the film still seems extraordinary. Expand

This film contains many attributes, violence, the first scene is possibly Tarantino'd funniest scene. Even in his first film Tarantino has managed to get a great cast together. With the legendary Harvey Keitel, Steve Buscemi, Tim Roth, Chris Penn, Micheal Madson. With this cast the film was only ever going to be utter perfection. The plot is possibly the most basic plot ever in a film, but still the most intelligent to come up with.
plot: The Reservoir Dogs are planning to rob a shop, and one of them being Mr Orange (Tim Roth) is a policeman and tells the police about this master plan, Tim Roth is the "rat" in the system.

Quentin Tarintino creates a crime film that not only brings you in but it also creates a feel to the film about four brutal robbers and one LAPD rat.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Reservoir Dogs was a hell of a movie. The acting was great and has some of the most memorable and brutal storylines of any movie. The brilliant dialogue made you engaged as well as this thrill of unknowing what's gonna happen next. However, I was a little disappointed. I thought that the movie could have been better if the characters were developed more. I could hardly put myself in their shoes and understand them as characters because I knew very little about them. The film should have more movement, rather than the whole movie being based in a warehouse. It gets to the point where the characters have been in a location for far too long and as audience I went: "well what's gonna happen next". I would have liked to see the original heist too because it adds on the entertainment and would have made the movie more enjoyable. Some bits of the movie just felt unfinished, other than that it was great movie, but it could have been an excellent one. Expand

Other than the acting, which was actually very good, everything else about the movie was mediocre. Quentin Tarantino thinks that you can simply use chaos to replace good storytelling and that's just not the case. This is a cult classic but like most of those, it's majorly overrated. Outside of the opening scene, nothing about the movie was entertaining in any way and really could've been told just as well in 20 minutes. Honestly, that's what Tarantino does. He takes a 15 minute story and fools the audience into thinking it's a halfway decent movie by using over an hour of fluff to fill out time between the constant back-and-forth of the plot. The acting and the opening scene earned the movie a 5/10. Anything more than that and people are just lying to themselves because they want to feel part of the cult following. Expand

I believe this is Tarantino's best movie...well, to me it is definitely better than Pulp Fiction. A great movie indeed, not a 10 but close...I hope to watch it again soon. What else can I say that hasn't been mentioned yet?

This violent thriller does not reach the american nostalgic charm that Pulp Fiction created, but it certainly provides Tarantino the oppurtunity to create claustraphobic reactions for his audience and characters.

I loved this movie and I enjoyed watching it. The cast was good and it was interesting. Yet the film is a bit too predictable and that sort of ruined it a little. I would still recommend it though.
