Have to say on this one have to agree with critics on this one though for different reasons. Although appreciate that the director was trying to show unconditional and unfailing love and that no one is irredeemable the way the movie portraysHave to say on this one have to agree with critics on this one though for different reasons. Although appreciate that the director was trying to show unconditional and unfailing love and that no one is irredeemable the way the movie portrays it is all wrong, definitely not same spirit as original and true Hosea story comes from and honestly feels like a forty shades of gray but with Christian elements, faith, and without the bondage. It goes wayy too intense and thee are some parts that are honestly just icky feeling. Is over the top and not what it could be. I would suggest reading the original story of Hosea and skipping the movie…… Expand

It's well known that as long as the demand exists, the product will also exist.
So as long as there's an audience that will continue to swallow this type of empty romances, we will have to suck it up and deal with them.

As good as the book which is to say it's not good at all. A frustrating retelling of a Christian story that never had a chance in today's climate. It regressed to bland cliché's of saviourism, sexualization and Madonna whore complexes.
