The plot is basically that. Hide, then run away and finally die.
It's evident that the script did not give for more and the film tries to fill in gaps with totally useless flashbacks, and ends abruptly with nothing resolved when there's obviously no other place to move forwards.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. My word, this is... this is bad. Terrible. Awful... I'll say it. Godawful. Premise: a bunch of guys, who instead of doing your typical bachelor party thing, go on a hiking excursion in the woods. There is your typical camaraderie, and we learn who is who and, of course, the main hero... which I believe is Albert. Roman and Albert are brothers, and they looked so similar... anyway... We're supposed to like him because of flashbacks to a vacation he took with his fiancé. That's it. The plot kicks in when the gun shots the bunch have been hearing make contact. Vincent, the most sheepish of the bunch, is injured. The tire on their SUV is shot. They bolt for the woods. The shooter is unrelenting and the stupid of the script kicks in. Honestly, movies like this depend on unrealistic people doing continuously dumb things. If you enjoy being frustrated by characters, by all means, this movie is for you. At one point, the band, reduced from four to five are in a visitor's station. The daft girl behind the counter is shot through the window and this crew of geniuses, in a narrow space with plenty of projectiles, make a run for it. I mean, this shooter is carrying a rifle. Not an automatic weapon. There is a sizeable reloading time. All you would need to do is draw the shooter in and use something, maybe brains, to disarm her. Come on, I thought. And getting around a narrow space with a rifle, four guys would be able to take on anyone in such a space. And the shooter herself. Bland. Boring. Banal evil at its head-shaking worst. I couldn't take it. I ended up skipping to the end. More stupid. The remaining hero stumbles on a cave where he finds other dead bodies - other hikers? I got that impression because how else would she have been able to drag so many bodies back to her lair? And if that was the case, that people had gone missing, the daft girl in the visitor's station would have been more concerned and living in the same world where such events had taken place and there would be better phone reception. Even the scene at the station, gun shots going off, the police woman on the phone is like 'what is happening?' Wow... a police officer not being able to register the sound of gun shuts. But I digress... yes, the ending... the hero manages to disarm the shooter. Of course, he's shot in the process. He's got the gun. All you think as a viewer, okay, wound her at least, discharge that bullet in the gun. Nope, he throws the gun away. (Sound of face palm inserted.) You got to be kidding me, and then the pasty face, wide-eyed shooter throws herself off a cliff. The end. Wow. Wow. And her motive... I am sure it was motivated because of something bad men did. Men are so bad. But yes... talk about... it's amazing so much crap is being made. I am sure there are talented people out there but the money is going ... honestly... watching this movie is a depressing reminder of how abysmal most media has become. In fact, these days, I find critics of films far more entertaining than the films they critique. This is... I honestly need a drink... man... Zero out of ten. Zero for the dumb characters. Zero for the bland revenge motive or whatever the reason for the killing. Zero for ... yeah, turning me into an alcoholic... again. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The film actually starts with some breathtaking shots of the mountains, the woodlands and the nature. Excellent filming. However from the get go, you just cannot relate to the characters, they are just so dull, uninspiring and you really can't root for them. The film is decent for the first 15 minutes, then it becomes incredibly bad. One issue I have with it, as soon as they realize that the marksman is actually a single woman, armed with a scoped bolt action rifle, they should have taken her on when they still had the numbers, before they started dying. You run and to be fair, they ran for like a minute and then kept on stopping asking each other " did we lose her?". No you didn't you idiot you ran for 50 metres and then stopped and you're talking loudly, of course you didn't lose her. They could have baited her, since her behaviour was not standard, one fella she shot in the head right away, another she willingly just scratched only to then shoot him in the throat and in the head, then she spared 3 survivors only to then kill one of them with like 7 rounds, shooting both his legs, both his shoulders, arms and then a shot in the head. So she didn't always shoot to kill. They could have baited her, since she actually got close to them several times, they were real close to her and she did not notice, they could have ran up to her, she would have managed to shoot once, yes, so one of them would have had to take one for the team, but she would not have had the time to chamber another round and 3/4 blokes could have easily smashed her head in with rocks and stabbed her with the knife they had. Instead they decided to be victims and allowed her to pick them out one by one. The motives...okay some drunk hunters had a negligent discharge and killed her daughter so she starts killing every hiker she sees in the woods. Why kill the young lady at the shop? She's a female, young and innocent, why shoot her in the head?

Also the police would recognize gun shots and hear the screams, the idiocy of them not knowing the location so they could not tell the cops and saying we didn't tell the cops where we are...Duh you're using a landline, the cops would know where the phone call is coming from. The backstory with the brother shagging his brother's fiance was meh, didn't add anything. I was hoping for something paranormal. You have a bunch of fellas making bad decision after bad decision, a female shooter who seems to be hell bent on killing innocent hikers because her daughter was killed by mistake by drunk hunters, she also has no qualms killing young female gas station employees. I actually enjoyed it, but then I have a tendency to enjoy really bad films sometimes.
