An oddball movie is there ever was one. A dying small town finds a resurgence in life when, get this, bigfoot is spotted running amok through the streets. Oh, it gets even better. A dying small town finds a resurgence in life when, get this, bigfoot is spotted running amok through the streets. Oh, it gets even better. As you might expect it's not bigfoot at all. Just a local store owner who got drunk when he came home to find his wife having furry sex with another man. Yeah, there's some furry stuff in this. Whether or not the movie is trying to go for some kind of message about that stuff or mocking it, I can't tell. It just sort of seems to be in there. Same for everything else in this movie. Now, the drunk guy loves his town. So naturally when everybody starts making some money again and a TV crew roles in promising to put "Pottersville" on the map, he keeps up the ruse to save Christmas and the future of the small community. The whole point of this movie is to be funny. While it has some chuckle worthy moments, it sadly falls short of making viewers laugh despite the potential hilarity of the concept. Ultimately it just goes for too quirky and I ended up just finding it very strange. A shame given that there is a really talented cast for some reason. How did they all get suckered into this?

Thomas Lennon is the real scene stealer and the only one given really anything remotely funny to work with. The most notable thing about the film is it's visual style. It carries that same, almost fairy tale/Dr. Seuss look of a Wes Anderson flick. As a result there's no real way I can recommend this to anyone.… Expand

Can't believe this cast signed for this movie, what did I just saw? This movie feels like it was an easy paycheck for the whole cast. It has this dumb plot & cheap jokes.
