At first it starts off quite boring and goes on that for like 30 minutes - you are only watching hoping to see some grand tournament Jake is organizing. Then, when they finally are getting ready to meet up it starts to look interesting as everyone going to poker game has their own agenda - which would mean we could see some twists and interesting events. Then turns out Jake already knows it all and it blows over quick - only for art stealers to come steal art but one of them be angry at Jake and suddenly wanting to kill everyone. If you want poker - there is almost none. If you want action or thriller - it seems it will be an interesting movie and then it ends up being a letdown. They had such potential to make it more interesting as it got you hooked at one point and then turns out its a letdown real quick.… Expand

Once upon a time, Russell Crowe was synonymous with quality. Perhaps he got tired of taking part in more serious projects and moved on to extremely forgettable roles.

With the exception of The Nice Guys and Boy Erased, I have a hard time remembering any of his movies since Noah.

Now, in Poker Face, as he did with The Water Diviner - His directorial debut - he once again lets himself be the star, but this time he delivers an extremely mediocre movie in which you can see that he enjoyed himself, with is friend, only that he forgot that the audience should enjoy themselves, too.… Expand

You don't get what you think you're getting based on the title. Definitely not Russell Crowes biggest role he's played but not a total miss either.
