Finally one of the first Pokémon movies without having to go through the Japan or OVSTFR box to get rid of the horrible version of 4Kids which had ruined a huge part of the film (and much more on the license in the West)!

The visual rendering is quite similar to Detective Pikachu, so we get used to it pretty quickly. The dubbing is always the same since the beginning of the anime, the scenario remains the same, certainly, but what a pleasure to see the cut scenes of the time finally dubbed in the West!

The additions of the 4Kid's version are also no longer present (except the moral of Mew) and there are small errors here and there, but the original had made the same mistake of confusing Pokémon ... 3 time!

No more Brother, my brother and finally the film deals, in all versions, with the questioning and identity of Mewtwo and more "real power comes from the heart and friendship"!

I recommend the remake much more than the original for the new ones who would like to discover the Pokémon films and which gives real morals compared to the original (always in FR I hear) without taking the children for idiots.… Expand

Pretty much the original film with a fresh coat of CGI paint, which isn't really a bad thing, but it could have been more. The Pokémon look great, and the people look pretty good too. this was some decent revamp, with the intention of making it 3D,
