Um die Papierfabrik ihres Vaters zu leiten, ziehen Sarah nebst Anhang ins südamerikanische Santa Clara – wo nicht der Job stresst, sondern übernatürliche Erscheinungen im Eigenheim. Regisseur Lluis Quilez bettet seinen Film in ein unverbrauchtes kolumbianisches Kleinstadtszenario und sorgt für eine ansprechende Inszenierung: In den Kolonialhäusern dominiert bei harmloser Spannung subtil der Schatten, während im schwülen Dschungel der Lichteinsatz stimmt. Dafür hapert es beim Plot gewaltig: Die aufgesetzte Schauermär um kindliche Rachegeister und Umweltsünden strotzt vor Logikfehlern, während Julia Stiles, Scott Speedman und Stephen Rea schauspielerisch wirklich nur das Nötigste tun.… Expand
