This movie is absolutely underrated. The plot is straight forward, but this is okay this way because the movie makes this up in all other departments. I've seen it on a review on Youtube "by accident" and was hooked by the very first framesThis movie is absolutely underrated. The plot is straight forward, but this is okay this way because the movie makes this up in all other departments. I've seen it on a review on Youtube "by accident" and was hooked by the very first frames of it that, after a couple of minutes, I bought it on iTunes. Compared to other, "big studio releases", MUNE has such a freedom of design, such art going on it's amazing. This movie plays greatly with opposites (arrogant and naive, big and small, day and night...) visually. The characters are sometimes a bit weird - a molten candle as father - but little details give them immediately something to like about them.

What I enjoy most is the carefree attitude. Adoring the nice colour play and lovely art and the movie score. I am not quite a guy that always defends every design with "art" and "freedom of interpretation", but this movie is some form of art. Very obscure. I bought RIO and MUNE, and I would vote for MUNE much, much more, despite RIO being nice and funny too.

This movie, MUNE, is honest, sincere, enjoyable and if you let slip some strange character design, an absolutely fantastic movie. This wants me to see more, but every cute fairytale has an end, right..?… Expand

Mune has some nice stylised animation but a very simplistic and ultimately unsatisfying plot.
