stumbled upon this stereotypical washed up 22 year old, navel-gazing, self-pitying yet self-congratulating American white female "You go girl" on Netflix. 7.3 by critics (who evidently share many traits of the director/protagonist). Makes sense. Zero cinematographic value. Technically watchable. Expand

The main character Emily played and directed by NOËL WELLS is over the top (not "quirky") and perfect. It's very easy to see any number of people in this same position as her, very believable. I didn't need to know too much about her prior to the main storyline. Other than the fact that she had left a relationship to spread her wings and on returning because of the death of her cat (Mr. Roosevelt) she had some regrets, all very relatable experiences. The supporting cast did there jobs well to move the story along. The way it did end I would be interested in knowing what happens next to Emily. I look forward to seeing Ms.WELLS in future roles. A Solid 8. Expand

I would give this film an extra star if it weren't for Emily, the most annoying central character in cinematic history. The childish antics - temper tantrums, sulky faces and alarming mood swings of a 2 year old - are almost intolerable and frankly completely unbelievable. NOBODY behaves like this and it's that unbelievability that tugs the viewer out of the world of the film. Other than that, it's an entertaining indie flick that is deliciously whimsical, edgy and original. Expand
