If you are looking for a romantic comedy that's a little weird, this is your movie! Sam Rockwell is fantastic and his chemistry with Anna Kendrick Pulls you right in.

Sam Rockwell knocks it out of the park as a goofy, charming ex-hitman, and honestly all of the acting is great. Thankfully the leads have chemistry because this writing is hit-or-miss. I can't recommend this movie because the plot is so frustrating, but I did get some laughs and the performances are spot on.… Expand

Sometimes, unfortunately, you go to a movie with expectations to be completely disappointed. Due to time and a doctor’s appointment we had a choice of going to see either “Demolition Man” or “Mr. Right”. Due to time and a doctor’s appointment we had a choice of going to see either “Demolition Man” or “Mr. Right”. I would rather have seen the former but I know Allen didn’t want to see it. I read somewhere that “Mr. Right” was a combination comedy/action/romantic independent movie along the lines of “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Though I didn’t read the reviews I did go to metacritic and saw a couple of 70 and 80 ratings so I figured it were a good choice.

Yes Anna Kendrick is cute and acts bananas very believably while Sam Rockwell is just as crazy playing an assassinator who kills the people who hires him to kill others because he thinks it is wrong. They meet cute; they fall in love and then a lot of mayhem starts.

Trying to be a screwball comedy there are very few laughs and, in cases where it attempts to be a farce it goes way overboard. The movie is full of gangster clichés along with ridiculous fights whether with guns, knives, fists, feet or dancing—yes, Sam Rockwell is sort of a Fred Astaire/Gene Kelly dancing assassinator. Oh yes there are about 10 people out to kill him.

Okay, I will admit I smiled twice in the 90 minutes of the movie but at the end I turned to Allen and told him it was his fault for us seeing his. It is also your fault if you go to see this when something, anything, else is available to see!!… Expand

I loved this movie the awkwardness and silliness where just the right amount. It was freakishly fun watching sweet awkward Kendrick melt down to this bad-ass killer that makes you want to giggle in her presence vs cringe... that is as long asI loved this movie the awkwardness and silliness where just the right amount. I loved this movie, the American Ultra references were perfect and I loved Anna Kendrick's character. Max Landis is totally underrated, his **** is amazing.

The movie is just cute enough to be a 5 because Sam Rockwell is one of the best actors I know; otherwise, five it would have held at for sure. Every good actor needs their counterpart to challenge them, and, unfortunately, I think Anna Kendrick just isn't seasoned enough (yet) to be in league with the likes of Sam Rockwell. This movie could have been really awesome with a Keira Knightley if you wanted to go with a more sexy route or a Melissa McCarthy if you wanted to stay on the comical route... the same clean-cut as with Kendrick... oh what might have been! DUMB ENDINGS always deserve a knock-off, which is why it goes back to a five...… Expand

I honestly loved this movie. It is silly, don't go in this expecting a serious movie. There are no hidden messages or deeper meanings, it is just gratuitous craziness and violence. Mr. Right isn't right at all. What gives Mr. Right the right to have that title is the fact that they didn't expect this movie to be wrong. Mr. Right needs to have that title changed to Mr. Wrong. There's two things that you should watch that's named Mr. Right. Look up broadcasting in television or watch that foreign movie instead of this.… Expand

A hitman with the 'killing is wrong' attitude.

Something is not right for 'Mr, Right'. It is not an event based action-comedy or something like man meets woman romance-comedy, but very random presentation. Where it begins and where itA hitman with the 'killing is wrong' attitude.

Something is not right for 'Mr, Right'. It is not an event based action-comedy or something like man meets woman romance-comedy, but very random presentation. Where it begins and where it ends, you can't clearly say it is a well written script. The actings were decent, but the scenes aren't overwhelmingly impressive as it should be. Directed by 'Neon Flesh' famed filmmaker, after that film his other projects weren't up to the standards including this one.

It is written by the one who was behind the 'American Ultra'. There's a strikingly similar between these two and you won't deny if you had seen them. Especially Anna Kendrick's character to what the Jesse Eisenberg was in that film. If we go deep, Sam Rockwell as well might fall into the same category to what Kristen Stewart was. At some point, one of the film characters mentions the same secret project. So I think it is the same universe and a spin-off.

Sam-Kendrick combo was the highlight of the film. I hope they would do some serious subject together in the near future. The action sequences were good, other than that it's not funny at all or romantic. That means I did not enjoy it because the theme did not work for me which I felt very common these days. So it failed because of the lack of innovation and proper development, but the overall film was not bad if entertainment is the main agenda. I know there are audience for it and they will back it. I won't stand between you and your watch if you want to try it, I just say be careful, that's all.

The worst thing that has ever happened to action movies. Max Landis's script is sadistic and the comedy isn't funny. It's tone-deaf and sloppily directed. It's brutal to endure this.

I found this movie really fun and really enjoyed the concept. This movie is really different and is actually pretty funny for a romantic comedy, plus it is not cliche.
