I thought maybe gaining 90 pounds, getting married and moving to Tennessee would help Korine focus and make something worth watching. Nope.

I just loathe over stylish pretentious films. Absurd, incredibly boring and found nothing of interest. Just a bunch of artsy tripe. Utter garbage.

Nice images, boringly slow and long.

It's incredible how blind critics and users may be, disapproving this genuinely beautiful film. Too blind.

Beautiful images and some amazing/funny scenes. Not for everyone though. That's okay. A little self-indulgent at times, but I still really liked it. Happy to see Harmony Korine making movies again.

A few (very few) engaging images and a few (very few) engaging performances. If you want a plot with your story, this is not the movie for you. Extremely self-indulgent film making.

Amazing movie. Funny. Clever. Bittersweet. Reading behind the lines is included.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I feel like this is quite a good film but its just so surreal/quirky/bizarre that it's not a film I imagine everyone can/will enjoy but its not a bad film either. I'm sort of on the fence about it as some scenes I thought were quite good and plot wise it has a quite interesting storyline but it is one of those films which, having finished seeing it, I'm left wondering what I'm meant to take away from it. It is somewhat philosophical I guess, perhaps making you think about self identity, how we choose to run away from our humdrum lives and so on. Its a little too bizarre for me but it does work on one level or two. It won't appeal to everyone but I guess if it sounds of interest, then it may be worth seeing, yes. Expand
