This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. If this a spoof parody that makes fun of movies like high school musical then is is a great movie. If this was meant to be a movie taken seriously then it is a horrible movie. All the stereotypical plot beats and characters make this movie just a fun and enjoyable movie to watch. That being said I feel like what really brings this movie down is that I feel like the creators of this movie don't know what 'metal' is. I really wanted to like it more but it's very complicated when its whole concept is rooted in a parade of stereotypes.

It's about discovering your identity and the personal and social acceptance that comes with it. I can give it credit for that, but that's as far as it goes.

Metal Lords is something of a mash-up that never quite comes together and, for the most part, feels rather scattered because it never gives its three main characters proper development, just skims the surface without going deep. Which is to be expected considering it's Netflix release for teen audiences.

And I know the movie is called Metal Lords, but Hunter's character, metal uniform and all, is the perfect definition of someone stuck in one genre, and people who only listen to one genre of music bore me to death.… Expand

I really loved this movie and it's definitely on my list of favorite movies. I will watch it other times and I'm recommending the movie to all my family and friends. If you like rock/metal music, you'll like this movie. If you don't like, i take the risk saying that you'll also like this movie. Need to say about Noah Urrea's acting! Very fun movie with a fantastic soundtrack. don't expect any classic dramaturgy or a brilliant script. It's a simple movie, straight to the point and a lot of fun. The soundtrack is a separate chapter. many classics of good old heavy metal!

A very enjoyable experience, I appreciate the comedic elements that blended it all together. Also the acting was quite well in the romantic scenes, as well as the end scene; where they played "Machine of Torment"

Can't believe this was made by the 'Nick and Norah' guy. There's nothing metal in it, just some obnoxious kid that thinks he's metal. The title should be 'Cringe Lords.'
