The film's basic premise -- a young married couple's attempts at coping with the disappearance of their child -- leads the protagonists to engage in an array of erratic and risky behavior, which, when taken collectively, verges on unbelievable if not ludicrous. Passing off a meandering narrative as sublime art just doesn't work here, no matter how good the acting and cinematography are.… Expand
