There's an actor who's secretly gay who calls his best friend to come to LA to help him come out of the closet meanwhile an emotionally abused lesbian breaks up with her cheating girlfriend and ends up involved with the best friend. There's also Haley Joel Osment on a treadmill.

It's a messy movie about a mess, and it's beautiful.
I can say it's Scott Pilgrim but more gay, and if that does not sell you the movie... We have different tastes.
