I waited a week to write this review, then I realized I didn’t remember that much about it. Guess that makes a statement about its effect. Guess that makes a statement about its effect. This is an adaptation of the Russian comic book series and the first superhero from that country. The titular plague is one of lawlessness in the city of St Petersburg (which is beautifully presented). The authorities are overrun by crime until a masked avenger starts to eliminate the evil rich and powerful. It’s up to the inevitable rogue cop and his partner to stop the outbreak. There are some dynamic action sequences, lovely locations and a sufficient pace to keep it involving without being especially memorable (in my case at least). Une grosse production russe sous la houlette de Netflix, ce qui garantit des moyens conséquents et des effets spéciaux tout à fait présentables ; la réalisation reste dans l’ensemble correcte… mais sans plus. A noter qu’on ne pige pas trop le soit-disant « pouvoir » du héros si ce n’est qu’il s’apparenterait à un « jour sans fin »… bien qu’il ne soit utilisé qu’au tout début du film ! allez comprendre…

Une heure et quart plus tard, on est pas plus fixé sur son « pouvoir » mais ses méthodes et surtout sa mentalité nous l’on rendu antipathique ou au mieux… tout simplement creux. Un héros de pacotille ni drôle, ni vraiment ‘héroïque », ni… vraiment anti-héros… L’impression qui prédomine est la suivante : il s’agit d’un tocard certes mais d’un tocard chiant comme la pluie.

D’ailleurs, le film est presque aussi chiant que son soit-disant ‘héros’, lequel pourchasse un autre soit-disant justicier qui zigouille toutes les ordures de la ville sans se poser de questions… Le scénar sent clairement le nanar mal dégrossi et pédale sévèrement dans la semoule.

Au bout d’une heure et quart donc, j’ai décidé que ça suffisait comme ça…. d’autant que le film fait… plus de deux heures et quart ! Les acteurs (ou les actrices) jouent très mal et même les scènes d’action finissent par ennuyer… Enfin bref, passons à autre chose et faisons comme si nous n’avions presque rien vu…!… Expand

Очень большие были опасения по поводу данного фильма, учитывая качества наших фильмов.
Но после просмотра данного фильма, я был… приятно удивлён. В кои-то веке я посмотрел достойный проект от наших киноделов за который мне было не стыдно.Очень большие были опасения по поводу данного фильма, учитывая качества наших фильмов.
Но после просмотра данного фильма, я был… приятно удивлён. В кои-то веке я посмотрел достойный проект от наших киноделов за который мне было не стыдно.
Интересный сюжет, хорошо показанный русский колорит и нормальные спецэффекты.
Отдельно хочу похвалить открывающие титры под песню Виктора Цоя «Перемен» - лучшие титры, которые я когда-либо видел.
Также хотелось бы рассказать про актёров: Тихон Жизневский, Любовь Аксёнова, Александр Сетейкин, Алексей Маклаков, Дмитрий Чеботарёв и Сергей Горошко великолепно справились со своими ролями.
Порадовало то, что актёры не только подобраны идеально, но ещё отыгрывают своих персонажей отлично. Из недостатков можно выделить вторичность и местами клишированность.
Майор Гром: Чумной Доктор - это наверно лучший российский фильм за последнии несколько лет.… Expand

Lubię czasem oglądnąć ruski film bo bywają niezłe. No i w tym wypadku tak jest. Interesujący pomysł na rosyjski film fantasy.
