Still might be my favorite Koreeda film. Somehow there is intimacy in every wide shot along with stunning beauty. It's a film to get lost in, to absorb completely and deeply.

Here's the Hirokazu Kore-eda that I admire.
This washes the disappointment I had with Air Doll.
Maborosi is a gloomy and contemplative drama. Sad and at the same time beautiful.
