Great movie, and story. Personally one of my favorites, and probably the best of wolverine X men.

Logan who has lostThis is by far one of the best super heros ever made which stands besides the Dark Knight Series and The Watchmen. It delivers a different formula in terms of the story line as it takes a turn from the classic hero story. Logan who has lost everything, now once again has something to lose, the girl (X-23). The film grips the audience as the director has no mercy in terms eliminating the main characters and the gruelling action get people out their seats worried for the protagonists. James Mangold and Marvel alters the mutant, Wolverine to the broken human Logan. Expand

Logan is a great movie that I watched 9 times in the cinema and review at home every year, because I really like the character himself and how this film shows the relationship of fathers and children. And this ending, God, what a great ending it is.

Perhaps even with a claim to an Oscar and other awards. Or at least, elementary, to screen the comic book "Old Man Logan". But Hugh Jackman is too simple-minded by himself. Probably wouldn't have done him any good. It turned out that it turned out - the film is not bad, but not a masterpiece and no "epic". The Wolverine fans, performed by Hugh Jackman, will be satisfied. Because, in fact, the movie was made for people like that... Expand

This is the movie that separates itself from the X-Men franchise the most. It's a whole different genre of superhero movies, it's dark and depressing. It also captures many moments resembling the modern wild west.

There have been many movies about a kid and his/her father figure but this one hits absolutely differently and that's not only because Wolverine has been known for a long time but also because of the many roller coaster scenes that remind us that this is not your typical superhero movie.

Story of the one and only Wolverine is brilliantly done and is ready to make the audience fall into the sadness pit.

Logan came to break the norms of superhero movies. The movie shows us that this genre doesn´t need to be all the same and more than this, Logan helps us realize that we´re tired of the same old plain superhero movies.
As a part of a franchise Logan is the perfect closure to its predecessors, but what makes it a fantastic movie is that it can stand on its own.
Logan accomplishes the feeling of nostalgia through all the movie, even at the beginning, you feel that time has passed and you know this is the end. Both fans and casual viewers exit the theater with tears in their eyes.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The only super hero attachments I had were to Spider-Man and X-Men, so you know this movie would pull at my heart strings, and they ended Hugh Jackman's Wolverine legacy just about right, giving the absolute violent bloodshed massacre a mere PG-13 rating was preventing for over a decade. After Fox's "Deadpool Test" with playing with the waters in how a rated R super hero film would work, they went ahead and tested it again with Logan. Sometimes you even forget this is a superhero film, this is a movie about a dying old mutant who's not looking to save the world or do anything heroic in the very beginning, he's just trying to survive and wouldn't hesitate to kill anyone that gets in his way, turning him from the heroic super hero soldier everyone knew him for into an angry anti-hero, but not like the comedic kind such as Deadpool. And when it comes to the action, this movie absolutely nails it, not just from the Wolverine himself, but from his genetic science experiment of a daughter Laura. She was trained to kill, and just like her father, she is not happy with what she was used for, and is an absolute killing machine; she won't hesitate for a second whether they're good or bad. While he does struggle with his powers throughout the movie because of the poison inside of his body that's making him age, that doesn't prevent him from the absolute mad man he truly is, and it's shown in just the first 3 to 5 minutes of the film. But his true potential is shown as he takes the medicine near the end of to give him that adrenaline rush to go on a massive killing spree against the soldiers going after the mutant experiment children. I've went way too long about the violence and the action, the anger, what about the story; it's depressing as hell. It's shown in the very beginning that Logan just wants to die already, but he'll do anything he can to protect Professor Xavier from both harming anyone after unintentionally killing his students, as well as normal human civilians, with his mind inducing seizures, and from a secret organization taking him away for tests. His main goal while keeping him stored away in a bunker on the Mexican border is to save money for a boat while posing as a limo driver so they can live on seas without a care in the world. Once Laura is now in his possession, they need to leave immediately. From there without spoiling much is full of so much tear shed and just an absolute stab in the heart if you been a fan of these films like I was. This is not only a bad ass film as a send off for Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stuart's years of hard work, it's a touching one that doesn't even need knowledge of any of the films before it to enjoy this tale of misery, family, depression, and acceptance. I might be over exaggerating, but this is an excellent film. Expand

More than just a comic book movie, it is an excellent example of combining the comics genre with adventure, action and suspense. Logan is one of the best comics movies of all time along with Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight (2008), highlighting the action sequences, the screenplay, the cinematography, the editing and the performances, especially Hugh Jackman and Dafne Keen, they make an excellent duo as father and daughter. I recommend them to all fans of comic movies. Expand

What comesThis picture, which has a completely different tone from all previous X-Men movies and is better for it, follows an aged Logan as he looks after Charles Xavier and finds himself defending a young girl who has similar abilities. What comes next is far more realistic, with character relationships, conversation, and violence that is rather horrific. The movie is quite heartfelt as well. Going in, I was aware of how well regarded this movie had been, and it did not let me down. Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart's final performance as these characters was a high highlight, and perhaps there will be more superhero movies in the future. Brilliant. Expand

One of few, is any, superhero movies that have as deep, and as touching, of a tone as Logan did. In a movie about superheros, men with claws, girls with telekenesis, this might be the closest a superhero has seemed to being human in film history.

Because it does not introduce a mutant world into its story to either pay less attention to them or to make a mess of them. Because it finishes the story of the main character and makes him grow as a character and takes you along with him. It does. Because it has a delightful ending that makes everyone cry. Because it makes the best use of its plot twists and is full of surprises. Because it goes beyond the comic book genre and does not forget that a comic book movie should make the audience feel good. Do it well, turn him upside down, surprise him and finally leave a shell of the fan. Yes... Logan is a masterpiece that should never be missed. Expand
