The major effect of this virus is a loss of memory. While it this could have been a scary disaster film, it focuses on one young couple (Jack O’Connell and Olivia Cooke). As is popular in current plotting, the story jumps back and forth in time. This serves to confound their memories even more. The duo has lovely chemisty and their performances are compelling. The pacing is intimate, which means it moves more slowly than necessary and it definitely could have used some cutting (her constant narration wasn’t needed). Still, the unfolding outcome is a tragic romance wrapped in a sci-fi drama. Expand

I find it quite unconvincing, and while I may have overlooked the most difficult-to-believe details, I firmly believe the movie was unable to delve into its own plot.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Amazing film. It teaches you a lesson how it is important to build memories, how it is important to live. But also asks other questions such as how do you live without memories? It isn't a sci-fi movie really because it is happening now in this world with Alzheimer, or even with the loss of memories from past relationships. A beautiful love story. Expand

Little fish is not perfect, but it uses its premise and cast to beautiful effect. One of the best indie sci-fi's since 2010's Never let me go
