Beautiful presentation let down by poor acting and audio, plus the characters were too goofy and aimless for my taste, best that you watch Rio instead.

I loved these books growing up as a kid. The movie adaptation, on the other hand, is so subpar that it left me scratching my head. The books got fairly dark, but some scenes in the movie seem way too dark, and others seem way tooI loved these books growing up as a kid. The animation is fine, but some of the acting is kinda bad, and the story becomes completely forgettable. Owl City on the soundtrack is just so fitting, in many different ways. The title, sure, but also for the tonal confusion this movie never seems to overcome.… Expand

Too violent for my tastes, especially for younger kids. Also there wasn't really a good moral or story in my opinion, and I didn't care very much about the characters. Skip it, imo, and don't bother taking your kids.
