This film was moving and thought provoking. The character interactions were very real. Patricia Clarkson is amazing and towards the end you feel for her especially if you are a mother. I would recommend this film.

I loved the feeling that I was a third person participant--not really a voyeur, as I was closer to the goings-on of the family, and privy to the individual "secrets" of each of its members. I loved the pacing: It had the rhythm of a lazy holiday family weekend interjected with a few eventful happenings, brothers putting their best faces forward, hiding mistakes, fears. It is beautifully photographed and the acting--especially that of Patricia Clarkson--is sensitive and memorable. It has lingered with me, and I think it is quite special.… Expand

Really worth checking out. Great cast, nuanced story, and beautifully shot. Fantastic balance of humor and pathos. Sure to springboard a lively discussion afterwards. I highly recommend.
