I like all the actors here, but dunno why when watching just the story didnt stick to me. Like at first it felt more confusing and then weird at times and at the end solved so quickly. You'd think Charlie Hunnam would have better offerings than this washed out, incoherent tale that somehow manages to get a style entertaining enough to keep your attention even when the results are mostly unsatisfying.

When the movie starts, Charlie Hunnam has secluded himself in a trailer in the woods with a minimal lifestyle. A lover from his past (Morena Baccarin) talks him into returning to his former life as an LA police officer (disgraced, of course)When the movie starts, Charlie Hunnam has secluded himself in a trailer in the woods with a minimal lifestyle. A lover from his past (Morena Baccarin) talks him into returning to his former life as an LA police officer (disgraced, of course) to help solve a killing. As a murder mystery goes, the developments are pretty standard. Hunnam makes an effectivelly grubby, unassuming detective, while Mel Gibson plays the accused, arrogant English TV actor with aplomb. There's not much original, although Hunnam's character does possess some charm and Gibson is loads of fun.… Expand

The director focuses on the eccentric and bizarre portrayal of an ex cop, neglecting the plot that gradually swallows everything including the characters and the protagonist himself.
