AOC is what this world needs. She is smart, funny and witty. It's an important documentary that everybody should watch!

For most of the time, Knock Down The House serves as a refreshingly personal and uplifting exploration of it's subjects, and their successes. It's focus on AOC as the show's pinhead is understandable, but the inclusion of the other women is ultimately just as interesting - I hope that they are remembered too. The show provides an exceptional analysis of of each of their backgrounds, campaigns, and successes, in such a way that each of their personalities and principles are communicated to the viewer clearly and most of all: naturally, rather than feeling like political canvasing strategy. It's hopeful and optimistic outlook makes a welcome break from the bleak pessimism that has engulfed much of the analysis of the Trump era, and thus makes for much easier and enjoyable viewing. All in all, Knock Down The House is an inspiring personal, and pertinent film, that above all, instils hope in both it's subjects, and the power of individual determination itself. This is empowering documentary film-making done right. Expand

This documentary shows that movements don't happen overnight, but they are built upon hours and hours of sacrifice. EntrenchedThis documentary shows that movements don't happen overnight, but they are built upon hours and hours of sacrifice. These 4 women ran not because they wanted power for themselves, but to bring it back to their constituents. Entrenched politicians, that are out of touch, don't simply have to be in power because "that's the way things are"; they can be challenged. Even a top ranking Democrat, with millions from wealthy donors, and big money interests, are unable to withstand the power of working people banding together. Incredibly moving, and powerful storytelling. If you need something to fight the constant cynicism, watch this film. Expand

KDTH is a good political documentary that gives interesting insights related to AOC and other pretty ambitious American women ready to overthrow the machine. However, while the attention given to AOC (who is undoubtedly the protagonist of this documentary) is very high, the room reserved for Cori Bush, Amy Vilela and Paula Jean is pretty tight, and at the end of the documentary you are given the feeling that the narration of what happens to these three women is only functional to the explanation of how AOC gained popularity in 2018's mid-term elections. It would have been more interesting if climax, suspence and other cinematographic clichés had been put in the records related to Vilela, Bush and Jean. Still, it's a good movie about a rising star of US politics. Expand

Mark Twain once said 'It is by the goodness of God that in our country we have those three unspeakably precious things: freedom of speech, freedom of conscience, and the prudence never to practice either of them." If he heard these stories, he might admit he was not always right! Expand

First, anyone that gave this movie a zero clearly has no interest in ever watching it.

It's not the best doc ever but it was well done and fascinating to watch for political junkies like myself. And, it really wasn't political at all.

Welcome to the modern day Divided States of Embarrassment. Can't even have a documentary about actual happenings if the politics don't line up, the internet hive minds are at work.

In the current political climate the barrage of negative reviews is hardly surprising, and I suspect a good number of the people posting them didn't even bother watching the movie. For those of you that can put petty political allegiances aside however the stories, particularly that of Ocasio-Cortez, are inspiring and its good to see that their are still people in politics that are genuinely interested in helping their constituents rather than lining their own pockets. Otherwise, though, it is certianly worth the watch, as this film is much less about Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's politics than it is about the newly-forming effort to give women and the working class a voice in the U.S. government. Liars, just like their Dear Leader (>24K documented lies in 4 yrs). Living in reality, please note that, contrary to all the lying reviewers, the film covers Democrat incumbents getting primaried so there’s very negative content about D incumbents. Amazing that in 2020 a film about US politics can make you so emotional at the end, assuming you watch it in good faith (ie, not a grievance-spewing angry white male). Expand

All these Republicans trying to cancel this documentary cause they dislike AOC is hilarious. This is an uplifting story of a few women taking on the establishment.
